SachDan Posted August 14, 2008 Posted August 14, 2008 who are talking abt dropping Sachin,Dravid n Kumble? only Ganguly should be dropped
zubinpepsi Posted August 14, 2008 Posted August 14, 2008 no doubt.. Shikar Dhawan should be drafted in straight away..
bharat297 Posted August 14, 2008 Posted August 14, 2008 Given a chance for the test series? Well lets start by bringing him into the ODI squad ... and then we'll see. He looks like a very good batsman but come on ... straight into tests at such a young age, with no experience in international cricket? LOL ... next thread ill be reading will be "Which Indian youngster should be tried as our test captain in place of Kumble?" ... lol
Laaloo Posted August 14, 2008 Posted August 14, 2008 the one and only. the dashing err the mesmerizing shikkkkarr dhawannnn
cowboysfan Posted August 14, 2008 Posted August 14, 2008 I dont know guys-he has not played in a one day yet-I dont think its BCCI's MO to throw a batsman to test cricket without trying him in ODI's.I think Rohit Sharma will be given the chance is one of the "fab 4" is dropped or hurt.
arkay Posted August 14, 2008 Posted August 14, 2008 Venugopal Rao. For the test series, Venugopal has the temperment and technique and is in the mold of solid player

cowboysfan Posted August 14, 2008 Posted August 14, 2008 cbf' date=' you don't know amits?[/quote'] not really-he created a NEW thread about "leaving" the board when I first came here.
SachDan Posted August 14, 2008 Posted August 14, 2008 Amit's dreams...Indian batting order staring with three Delhi giants in Sehwag,Gambhir and Shikhar Dhawan. One day it being getting filled with all Delhities...Don't wana see any Mumbai player in the team and he hates phoreiners :D
diegovegaz Posted August 14, 2008 Posted August 14, 2008 subramaniam badrinath though shikhar dhawan is also a good choice, badri has an edge over him
amits Posted August 14, 2008 Author Posted August 14, 2008 any way the 2 threads could be merged. it was a duplicate post and shikhar dhawan is a must in the test series v aus and i would never want all delhiites in the team. i dont happen to be a fan of virat kohli & ashish nehra despite the fact that they r from delhi. i am a big fan of sehwag, gambhir, dhawan & ishant
Ram Posted August 14, 2008 Posted August 14, 2008 My choice would be Rohit Sharma, mainly for two reasons. No.1: He was already in the test squad ahead of Badri or any other newbie. It will be sheer madness to include someone ahead of him in the playing eleven. No.2: He's class act, the whole world knows that. His record may not glitter like Gold, but he's already a proven quantity, someone who, at such a young age, has shown the ability to stand up to pressure situation and play crucial innings. As much as Badri has impressed at every given oppurtunity at FC cricket, foreign tours or IPL, at the international level, he's still an unknown quantity.
NeoCon Posted August 14, 2008 Posted August 14, 2008 None, this last series should be played by the usual seniors, after that worry about changing.
fineleg Posted August 14, 2008 Posted August 14, 2008 dhawan (For amits' sake :D) but after Badri is tried out.
