coffee_rules
Mishra was a replacement. It is the same as Kaif who was SRT's replacement in 2004, was promptly dropped after SRT came back. Kaif had some good performances in India and WI (100 in wi). So, we should see if Kumble does a Thorpe after the series. Link to comment
DomainK
It's simple - if Kumble is fit and plays at Delhi' date=' Harbhajan goes out.[/quote'] That leaves us with two leg spinners. Not a great proposition either. If Kumble comes back, whoever he replaces, I hope he gets his form back. What better place the Delhi to get his form back? Link to comment

Desi Cartman
Mark my words, kumble will declare his retirement stating his injury problems. Link to comment
King
Nothing wrong in Kumble not retiring but continue being in the team. He can help Mishra quite a bit being in the sidelines. Who knows, Harbhajan may not do as well in the next test or two and Kumble can play the last test match. I think Kumble can afford to rest the next test match as well as it will only help his shoulder recover fully. Perhaps he can call it off by the end of England series if Mishra continues to be good enough. Link to comment

Fontaine
Firstly Dhoni is a player with an awful attitude not fit to play Test cricket and now he should be elevated to permanent captaincy through the drop of Kumble? How very fickle the Indian fan can be. Wait till he loses a test match. People will be calling for Kumble to unretire and take over the captaincy back from him. Link to comment
Lord
mishra hasnt bowled well so far in 2nd innings. if he doesnt take any wickets, i m sure he'll be dropped for kumble n rightly so.so get the wickets, mishra Link to comment
vadodaravictor
Tough call..but I predict that Kumble will sit out...He will not be dropped.. His injury will not be healed before start of 3rd test Link to comment
Lord
there a lot of time before 3rd test, so there's every chance that kumble will be 100% fit. Link to comment
coffee_rules
Why is there 9 days of rest before the next test? Link to comment
Lord
Why is there 9 days of rest before the next test? there usually is a long time between 2nd n 3rd test of a 4 test series Link to comment
vsd2006
if Kumble doesnt step out himself, these new selectors dont have the balls to make him sit out, if it were vengy and his boys, kumble would have been given the instructions by now to tell the media that he is injured and wont play even if he is fine. AM Out, Dumble in for 3rd and 4th test. Dumble wont risk going into the match without 6 bats+ dhoni, so Laxman stays in Link to comment
