Brainfade Posted December 11, 2008 Posted December 11, 2008 Is it too difficult to mount a LCD TV on the wall? The professional installation is charging 300 . WTF? I declined it. Any experiences? It is really easy. My friend and I did it ourselves in ~ 1 hr. Just plan ahead and make sure you label &route your cables correctly through the wall. Installing the mounting apparatus and hooking up the TV are easy. You just need 2 pairs of hands. Good luck!

Some tips Make sure u are nailing the wall mount to a stud if its a dry wall . ans also i would have a couple of 2 X 4 added to the mix with a plywood backing.... is possible if u are just mounting it to a stud make sure its a wooden stud or a metal stud... there are different screws and also for a metal stud its more troublesome. better of getting a floor mount....... thats what i did :)
