h4te
We can certainly expect NZ series to be a washout....aren't we playing during the rainy season?????? :whack: on the good side, this gives Dhoni, Zaheer, Ishant, Gambhir, Sewhag some much needed rest. Plus, there are a host of domestic tournaments (Ranji semis/finals, Duleep trophy, Vijay hazare...) coming up! :yay: Link to comment

Dinx - the Jinx
Okey.. now that the extended break is a reality, lets think of some ideas to keep the team (and ourselves) busy !!! 1. Gambhir can listen to and download more songs to add to the playlist that he can sing merrily while batting alongside Viru 2. Sehwag can do some research on hair transplant and come back to NZ series sporting Salman like new hairstyle 3. Rahul Dravid can go back to domestics and play some long innings and draw test matches for Karnataka - the matches that they should have won 4. Sachin can shoot for some more RBS ads. He can also get some T20 practices as IPL will be there soon. 5. Laxman can use his computer to play with some graphics by superimposing aussie faces on NZ players, so that when he goes to NZ, they all look like aussies to him and hence loads of runs. 6. Yuvi can goto the Gym once again. Practice more sledging and come back as a better sledger in the next series 7. Dhoni can devote some time for his BCom exams, apart from shooting for ads, applying gun license and dating a girl each from every state in India 8. Bhajji should get some extra supply of oxygen, so that when he delivers his offspinners he can give it more AIR 9. Zaheer - he can get the best possible rest. He has had a wonderful year and he should come back as fresh when we goto NZ 10. Ishant has already got h is hair cut, so cant suggest that. May be he can score a couple of fifties in the Ten10 competition and return as an all rounder 11. Mishra should seriously practice his appealing. He can take few lessons from Warne Link to comment

diegovegaz
this break will definately turn out to be too long for us cricket lovers more of cricket addicts, i guess perhaps seeing australia lose the remaining two tests, will keep us occupied but, the odi and T20 contest would surely be a attraction, we can look forward to it oz on declining path, will surely face a challenge by the proteas, with gibbs back in the squad Link to comment

Show_stopper
Understandable that we, fans feel this way but from the players POV..they have really been playing non-stop from England tour actually(participating in IPL didn't help)!! Thats almost 18 months. Teams like Australia get 3 months of break every year!! So no doubt this is a good thing, even though it happened due to cancellation of Pak tour rather than some foresight on the BCCI's part. Link to comment
PaiN_KiLLeR
I really hope the New Zealand cricket board agrees to upgrade it to a 3 test match series. Link to comment
Guest Hiten.
First you complain about non-stop cricket and now you're complaining about no cricket. Nothing can please legendary finey :hysterical: Link to comment
