dial_100 Posted January 7, 2009 Posted January 7, 2009 Have you tried playing flute??? Its easy if you want to play it. Try some bamboo flutes....You need longer and slightly thicker fingers. It is lot easy if your fingers can fit on the holes tightly. I have v small fingers and thin too. I struggle with long flutes. I have some G#, FF, DD, F, EE flutes. Good luck.

Cricketics Posted January 7, 2009 Posted January 7, 2009 i tryed to take Tabla classes in my school in India, which was like long time back. the teacher got fed up of me. i wasn't playing in the rite manner, and he was trying to teach this thing called "Teen taal ke kayde" on tabla.. and i was doing it wrong everytime. in frustration he told me "angrez log hindi sikh jayenge par tujhe tabla kabhi nahi aayega" and i started laughing all of a sudden and that teacher thought i was being rude.. he took a futta out(solid wooden ruler) and starting hitting on my knuckle. at the end of that class.. i said eff this tabla .. and never returned to that class again

I played those big ass school band drum in school for a while. Also failed to learn harmonium though I took private coaching. Now I stick to tapping the ass.
