For me.. Zaheer khan Ishant sharma sreeshant/RP/munaf For the third spot, there should be sreeshant. If he is not available then munaf. Rp will be my last choice. I dont know about balaji, nehra(if he is alive),praveen kumar, i forget one name from v sign or something. For spinner. I would like to go with mohnish parmar. I know about his actin but if akhar, murli can bowl then why should BCCI not? ..... I am not in favour of ohja , chawla not even harbhajan. Harbhajan is not the best now. He is an average bowler. Chawla is not great either. Ohja might be a good but not enough. M. Parmar looks decent to me.

we can pick a rookie seamr Umesh Yadav if possible as he has impressed a lot with his pace and bounce in domestics, he bowel wiht consistent pace in duleep trophy match around 140 KMPH, which is excellent if he maintains this as dont need bowlers like munaf who does not give his 100% effort on the field. he is just useless, was bowling wastages against srilanka. iT was pitty seeing him bowling ahead Ishant

Munaf should be kept in the side not primarily for his bowling...but for his electrifying fielding. How can we do without it?
Daadaji Munnabhai Patel :two_thumbs_up:

Bowling slow is different and bowluing garbage is different, ZK and IS were mixing up the pace cleverly and did not generate much pace becasue of the wicket nature, but Munaf was bowling without any seriousness he runs ro slow try to copy Mcgrath and just release the ball like he does not want to bowl coach and coach is playing him forcefully ands asked to bowl. I can bowl with much more attitude and pace than him..........attitude matters more for a fast bowler..he can bowl fast every one knows...when he started his career he just tormented ENgland bowling, but he lost his way and became a corridor bowler after Chappel's advice. fast bowler is not a fast bowler until he bowls fast otherwise he needs to have skills like Mcgrath and pollack had.............thats my point of view

Exclude munaf's first 6 test matches where he took 24 wickets after that he has been worthless in test matches too.......
This is a ridiculous logic which I keep on hearing on this forum. Exclude this or exclude that and then see how worthless the player is!! If it goes that way, then exclude all the scoring matches for Tendulkar and include all the matches where he has scored a duck and see what a useless batsman he is in any format at any place!!

Zak, Ishanth,Irfan Sreesanth and Praveen if he is fit. If both RP and Praveen are fit leave sreesanth out and take RP. This should be the ideal wayMunaf can be a replacement. But not a prime bowler n Swinging conditions... I'd Prefer Pathan for Munaf

lets see if praveen has got his swing and mojo back.he is really out of form right now.

For ODI series in NZ, most probably Praveen Kumar will be in the squad.

It's not completely ridiculous - cricket is full of people who have done very well in their first couple of seasons only to be sorted out as time went by because they did not evolve to better their opponents. So stats taking out the first 1-2 seasons when the bowler/batsman was an unknown commodity and could not repeat that performance are not completely junk.

the main thing in a fast bowler is attitude, which munaf really lacks right now...he was a big hope when he started but in the midway he lost that fire that he showed against England in his first 2 test matches.....first time after srinath, an indian bowler was creating difficulties for opposite batsmen....he doesnt look like taking wicket right now.......thats my view...its not only about stats its about what i saw in the match........

sreesanth ashok dinda should be the 2 guys along with irfan and praveen as 4 pacers, apart from Zaheer and inshant as in newzealand one may even play 4 pacers in a match....i feel we shud take only bhajji and ravindra jadeja as spinners for one day to new zealand, i m quite sure they dont have spinning tracks at all ...spinner wont succeed there ..though i rank mishra and bhajji as the best indian spinners ahead of pragyan ojha... sreesanth is the best pacer after zaheer and ishant that india have and ashok is as good as sreesanth now a days..he has a zippy action and has got great pace, same as sreesanth....
