^^ The whole irony of this thing is that Sri Lanka were hounded into touring Pakistan just so that they ould play ome ompetetive opposition; Winning streaks against diddly doddly opposition hides the poor planning / strategy and these flaws get exposed for everyone to see when they play deent opposition. On Pak riket forums, this series almost brought them unbridled joy, to see their team playing again after a good year of isolation; 2009 was supposed to be a lean slate, where apparently all the players going into the series were in red hot form, if you take into aount their reent domsti performanes So muh hype, so muh expetations, but knowing the nature of the beast, even I am surprised how piss poorly they played. The story of the series an be summarized by unsrambing the following phrase: Tears all going its end to in As for the ollapses by India, in India's defense, the Indian team is pratially worked to death with their non stop hedule. I would give India the benefit of the doubt as any team an ollapse on a given day. Pakistan however, have made a habit of onsistently humiliating themselves and in the proess made some unintentional fans from aross the bordrer. Pakistan have been twiddling their thumbs and undermining the ahievements of everyone else -> now the whole world is laughing at you

Here I was really thinking Pak was on the way back after beating WI, but then SL thrashed them nicely enough, ive got my marbles intact. Heres hoping for a 2-0 pasting of Pak in Tests.
Could be possible since a good pacer friendly wicket back-fired on us at Lahore, and we can't really make a pitch favoring spinners in Test when they got Murali and Mendis, but knowing Pakistan anything is possible. It is going to be a very exciting Test series and I expect both teams will compete hard to overcome one another.

Even the loss to Ireland was blamed on a green top (supposedly a conspiracy by ICC to knock Pakistan out of the tournament, which they otherwise wold have definitely won.) There was a bit of movement and the Pakistani batsmen fell flat on their face, and the very famed Pakistani bowlers (which very surprisingly had three spinners), could not make use of the conditions?

^^ mate, in the Ireland game, half the team were part time cricketers with full time jobs. They took on Paks, hard core cricketers who eat / drink / sleep cricket 24 / 7. Greentop or not, Pak weren't facing Donald / Walsh / Ntini, so their capitulation was inexcusable. Anyway, after haplessly belting bowlers on flat tops, they had a heart attack when they saw a lively seaming wicket. But, in pakistan's favor, this wicket was a flat as a pancake. WTF are they complaining about?

They have no batting quality whatsoever. Younis Khan, and to some extent Misbah are the only ones capable of handling anything more than minnows. Afretard, the ever confused Malik and company really don't match up to batting standards of Aus,India,SA.

Pakistan cricket and its general state as a nation are the same .The more they bury their heads under the sand the more they will have trouble .
Can't get over with your media's 24x7 bread and butter of "Pakistan is a Failed state" and that's what you basically like to listen and talk about. It's really easy to point fingers, you should better look at your country before looking at someone else's problems.

lol..who on earth said that los against Ireland was a conspiracy? Did you say the same thing when a new kid like Tamim Iqbal sent you guys back home on the same plane as Pakistan? We lost fair and square against Ireland, and Ireland back in world cup was a very good team. They even gave a really good fight to New Zealand and West Indies, so calling Ireland of 2007 mere minnows and nobodies is a disgrace to them. South Asian batsmen in general have problem playing on green bouncy wicket, simply b/c they don't get exposed to such wickets in domestic competitions. There are tons of flat track bullies in both Pakistan and India. Yuvi, Dhoni, Sehwag etc to name a few in India.
