He deserved to play another sereis. Just 2 games.. thats utter sick.

I know he blasted that century when he was involved int hat p'ship with Kohli against Australia in warm up game. But still I feel before him, it should be Ajinkya Rahane who should be given a chance at international level in test cricket Rahane has been averaging 65 now in F.C. He has been just great. Rohit on the other hand has been given getting his chances atleast in odi's. Rahane should be used when he is in great form. When Rahane scores such quality knocks against quality attacks, then you can equate. Right now you can't do that.

He is a nervous bowler' date=' bowls too many bad deliveries and is a very bad fielder. and prolly the worst #11 bat too (just incase the match gets to the wire while we are batting coz it prolly will coz the pitches will be greenish even though there arent greenish pitches anywhere these days but i wudnt know that coz im stupid). India last toured New Zealand in 2002-03 and lost both Tests and were defeated 2-5 in the 7-ODI series. Rajput said a practice match would have been beneficial. "It provides players the look-in they so need in tours Down Under." Rajput also condemned the way England's second Test against the West Indies was abandoned after just 10 balls on Day I. "The onus lies with the local organisation. You cannot deny the paying public like that. It was a major loss of face for world cricket, too." Rajput viewed the effort of the organisers of the gully cricket tournament as a commendable effort to bring talented yet obscure players to the fore.

And Jadeja is a better player than Nayar, Jadeja should have got a full series after doing well in the only chance that he got. Kohli is fit and fine and is playing for Delhi in Vijay Hazare Trophy. He scored a century yesterday too.

After that he reported to NCA and was regularly training there. I am sure BCCI would know that would also know that he is recovering well to be seen soon playing cricket for his zone in Vijay Hazare trophy.

Yeah thats the thing..selectors were yet to have evidence of his match fitness.The VHT knock came a few days late for Kohli,unfortunately.

In Lanka under the lights guys like Yuvraj too were turning it square..but in NZ we can't rely on Ojha alone as the specialist spinner as he doesn't have many variations.Regarding they were really out of choices tbh.

Lanka's condition were very very different to what we'll get in NZ. Secondly, Bhajji is our premere spinner in tests and does need overs under his belt before he moves to all important tests. ODIs and T20 will provide him that. And who would you choose as your third seamer, if not Munaf when RPS and Sree are ruled out? That is a no brainer I suppose. In ODIs Pathan might get chances before Munaf but in tests, Munaf will be there.

The last time India toured New Zealand six years ago they went down 0-2 in Tests and lost the one-day series 2-5. But India's current form in all three forms of the game has Vettori worried and he said stopping Dhoni and Sehwag could turn into a nightmare for his bowlers. "You look at the individual players and some of the world's best are coming," Vettori said. "Mahendra Singh Dhoni and Virender Sehwag batting on the little grounds in New Zealand is pretty scary," the leg-spinner said. However, Vettori is seeking comfort from India's past record here. spectre Posted February 17, 2009 Posted February 17, 2009 I think he's forgotten about Y Pathan and Yuvi Sehwag is more of a boundary hitter, these boys will look to clear the ropes more often Hope they dont forget Yuvraj, He can clear most big grounds easily...these will be a tennis court for him If Yuvi gets stuck @ their bowling, god save NZ and Yusuf, only if he applies a bit of sense and stay @ crease for sometime and then bang He tries to hit from the first ball Thats the trouble for Vettori, All 1 to 7 can clear most grounds easily Nowadays, it looks like only Dhoni seems to be hitting less sixes
