Younis is not leading Pakistan forward but has just been one strong pillar on which a debacle is resting. Younis Khan deserves to surpass Lara's 400 for the sheer determination he displays although it would be befitting for someone like the class of Lara to hang on to it. His this innings only seems to be taking Pakistan forward instead of the other way around. And character wise he's the best in Pakistan, but you are completely wrong about him being the only one. A 400 in one game is good enough to take the team forward? In that case WI should not have lost many a matches after Lara's 400. Pakistan since the late 90s put a step forward and two steps backward. It's not like a captain hasn't played a good knock in the past for Pakistan. Inzi was fantastic in terms of scoring runs for Pakistan while being the captain but where is Pakistan right now?
