Cricketics Posted February 27, 2009 Posted February 27, 2009 another reason for him batting in too aggressive mode was the wicket fall. last match also we had lost too much wickets, hence he didn't go for aerial shots before and was rather trying some ground shots. he was slow today. but ya we sucked in front of NZ again today as a team. before someone miss out praising, zaheer was just classic in his 2nd spell. Yorkers, cutters, in swing etc. brilliant comeback from him.

Esp since we are on the way up in the other 2 formats! Its just 2 godamn games and he played much better than Gambhir and Y Pathan today.

Just because he's captain doesn't mean he should get a spot, automatically. He has to earn that place through his batting or bowling. An average of 20 with a SR of 105 is not even mediocre. It's plain poor.
