fineleg
Test match cricket is coming to a town near you this month.Bring a blanket. And a snorkel, writes TVNZ.co.nz's Max Bania Test match cricket is coming to a town near you this month. Bring a blanket. And a snorkel. The three-Test series against India, beginning on Wednesday in Hamilton before moving on to Napier and Wellington, will take us further into the rainy season than any international series ever played in New Zealand. Frustrated viewers may end up spending more time watching replays of Craig McMillan and Simon Doull's heroics against India at the Basin Reserve in 1998 than any live cricket action. :(( Link to comment
King Tendulkar
What is the point in holding a test series in rainy season. This whole test series could end up being totally pointless and very annoying Link to comment

Shane
This is poor scheduling given NZ weather pattern! Finey its nothing to do with the scheduling, this is just about coming to the end of the summer in NZ, the entire summer this year has been dreadful with rain during major parts of December and Jan !!! :(( Link to comment

Only early mornings and late evenings are a bit cold otherwise it's still warm. The club cricket season hasn't finished either and it finishes by the end of this month meaning cricket is always played around till about end of March. We have had team visiting at this time last year too but this series has been extended by about a week or two this time around. Link to comment
