Macj Posted April 17, 2009 Posted April 17, 2009 India in other words is a nation separated by a religion, caste, sub-caste, language.... and whatever else you want to pile on.
graphic23 Posted April 17, 2009 Posted April 17, 2009 India in other words is a nation separated by a religion' date=' caste, sub-caste, language.... and whatever else you want to pile on.[/quote'] Indians choose to differentiate themselves through religion, caste, sub-caste, language.... and whatever else you want to pile on. Infact I remember discussing why you felt the Telugus in Tamil Nadu are evil a few months ago.

Kudos to you on that, I never called Telugus in TN 'evil'.

Evil or not is a technicality. You were visibly disappointed and you chose to group them by the language they spoke - the same barrier that you point as being something negative in the previous post.

A technicality would at least reflect a commonality in meaning, I never said they were 'evil', and please stop insinuating that I did. I was disappointed that Telugus in TN are considered 'Tamizh', yet forward communities like Brahmins arent. Its contrasting and its true.

I meant that we all choose to differentiate ourselves with these barries. For all I know, you're probably right that all the Telugus in that particular area are given powers thinking that they're Tamizh, etc. But you chose to say Telugus instead of saying, these group of people who happen to speak Telugu. It would've counted as a technicality if it weren't so blatantly obvious in all aspects of our lives.

flamy Posted April 17, 2009 Posted April 17, 2009 This is why I love India :D Unfortunately, for all the fun we have here, there are real people with real hatred among us :((
fineleg Posted April 17, 2009 Posted April 17, 2009 Thanks coffee for posting (Post #137 with replies from MM and KR) since we did not see it the first time. What utter tosh! To insinuate that only punjabis are good looking or better looking than South Indians. Rubbish. Parochial statement that. There is this idiotic notion that South Indians are not good looking. There are several handsome men and beautiful women in the South To say otherwise, is just some stupid stereotyping.
flamy Posted April 17, 2009 Posted April 17, 2009 I would like to think they were only kidding. But, lemme just put forth my opinion on this. I think Telugu ladies are abysmal, not one hottie, nada, zilch, nothing. :(( But, there are a lot of good-looking Telugu guys. Tamil - the heroes suck real bad man. Except Madhavan. There are hotties to be found in TN for sure. Rekha, Radha, Sridevi to start off the list. Malayalam - um.... I have no clue. But, Reshma is pretty doable :--D Kannada - Upendra is fugly. Prema is nice-looking. So was Soundarya. Actually, Kannada has a lot of good-looking ladies too. Especially Mangaloreans - Genelia, Fredia Pinto, Aishwarya Rai (I think) Marathi - Madhuri Dixit. WINNAR! Also, Shirodkar and mamma mia Isha Koppikar Punjabi - Malaika Arora. Super-hottie. so ya, the list goes on. Beauty in every form guys... In general, however I prefer Delhi girls because they are hot and their attitude is feckin fantastic.

Strange, I lived in South India for 22 years and during that period, all those ‘beautiful women and handsome men’ must have hid from me. I think credit should be given to Punjabi Khota for bringing this topic up. He has boldly brought up this topic even though he knows its pathetic, dumb and unbelievably stupid to go around stereotyping people based on the way they look. Well done P_K, you’re da Man!:two_thumbs_up:

I never said it was only punjabis or anything on that lines, there was no mention of south or east or west india. KR came up with utter bullshit post , with stuff I had never mentioned ever, at all. Believe me, given a chance, I would hump Padma-Laxmi till I drop dead.B-> I am just like Gautham Gambhir, appreciate beauty where I find it.

Then what explains the prevalence of FATASS BALD UGLY MOFOS wearing white checked shirts getting LEAD roles in south movies ? Those guys would find it tough to find a role as a dhobi in a proper bollywood movie. I mean the most stylish hero Telugu films have got is Mahesh Babu, and at the very best, he could probably hope to play the guy who rapes hero's sister in a Bollywood movie. If south is so stylish, why can't they get more stylish stars ? And why are these people so famous then ?
Ram Posted April 17, 2009 Posted April 17, 2009 Talking bout good looking South Indian actress, here's one And I am not lying on this, Meenakshi Seshadri is my dad's second or third cousin. :D
punjabi_khota Posted April 17, 2009 Posted April 17, 2009 What is the BS then ? Haha, I was talking about the heroes in the movies, not the general public. And It is absolutely true. Thats what I wondered, why do people love those ugly ass fat mofos in those movies ? The girls are almost always good looking but the heroes are dowright fugly or badly dressed. I stand by it for sure. Plus the whole discussion was about style anyways, read the whole thread. If you can honestly say, that the heroes in South Indian movies are every bit as good looking and stylish as bollywood heroes, then I can honestly say that you are blind.
