The squad is good but some changes are reqd. Bhajji should be there instead of Ojha because Bhajji can bat well in t20. And Praveeen should be tried and if he does not do well even IKP can be tried as he has also developed into a proper t20 batsmen. Dhoni should win the matches by making so many runs that it is out of the opposition's reach. However, SA will be the biggest threat this time with De Villiers, Gibbs, Duminy, Kallis, Morkel and a good bowling lineup. i like the squad.. however im not happy to see zak n ishant there..

Zak is bowling quite well nowadays in the recent MI matches .. Zak is also handy with the bat so he must be there

Abhishek Nayar should have been given a chance instead of Jadeja. Nayar can be useful as a seam up bowler, and English conditions are likely to assist such bowling. Ideally Ishant and Zaheer should have been rested, but who are the alternatives? Munaf seems to turn it on for RR and switches off when on national duty, for some strange reason. Besides, a bowling lineup consisting of RP, Munaf and Pathan/Praveen doesn't look too threatening. Dinda and Gony have gone of the boil. Balaji is still far from his best. Kulkarni has looked totally out of league in IPL 2. Kamran would have been an ideal choice as he can bowl effective yorkers but his injury + suspect action rules him out for now. India's batting looks fine [assuming Sehwag and Gambhir will be back in form] but the bowling is somewhat suspect. Twenty20 has evolved since 2007, and the lack of a backup medium pacer who can take the pace off the ball, and a death overs specialist could hurt.

i believe the squad seems incompetent without sreesanth he'll be a much better choice than pk in the playing 11 he is due to play on 5th march for the kxip

but sreesanth cant bat saala .. thats why .. PK and IKP can bat and in t20 it benefits with a lot of batsmen in case the middle order chokes in a match BTW Jadeja is the wrong choice .. there are other domestic players performing better than him in IPL

Ojha has outperformed Bhajji by miles in this league that its not even funny. He's beaten well established batsmen, and has contributed significantly in defending low totals for Deccan. Sad that you guys think he shouldn't be there.

IPL has become such a blessing for the selectors. They can now see the best of the domestic players in perform in pressure situations and against the best of international players. Its as good as watching their abilities in international level. The players alos get the opportunity to learn by playing alongside great players. IPL will play a huge role in development of Indian and world cricket on future.

And that is why for God's sake, I wanted them excluded as both of them are bowling terribly in T20. They are our best test bowlers doesn't mean they should qualify automatically for every format.
