He is only 20 he might be a good lower middle order batsman who can rotate strikes like michel bevan but he is not a good striker of a ball for sure like yv YU has only improved and matured in the last few years remember 3-4 years he was just a rusty player who would play well one match and gets then only at average for the next many matches and still gets his place, So jadeja is definately not in the YU level but that does not mean he cannot get to his level when he gets in that age

BTW the others like Kohli has not got much better SR although being given a lot more opportunities .. let him be given some chances.. his bowling itself can give him a place in the squad... and if he can increase his SR then he would be a perfect spinner all rounder for us

Jadeja has played only 3 ODIs for India while even Kohli has played 9 ODIs .. and before the Kohli knock at the Champions Trophy match, Kohli's stats and SR were worse than Jadeja... so it is too early to judge his batting in just 3 ODIs .. and his average is 33 which is not that bad too

Sooda Posted October 26, 2009 Posted October 26, 2009 Lol, he;s not that bad. If anything he should be batting higher to give him time to settle in, which he seems to need. And he might up the RR after a slow start. He's the only allrounder option we have. with Irfan not exactly in form. We need to give him bit of a run didnt watch yesterday but from his fis he seemed to do a good job with the ball, as he did in the T20 WC.
