Lord
Good joke :haha: Crapthan is worst of the lot and rightly given the boot.Ii am happy that Dhoni atleast got this right on what basis exactly?hes not awesome, but hes not awful either.Ishant bowled terribly in T20 WC still he got the nod ahead of irfan. even nehra is selected ahead of him.tell me on what basis Nehra is better than irfan? n dont forget irfan can bat n is a pretty good fielder Link to comment
Cricketics
This is really b.s. Why the hell they keep ignoring Kohli every now n then. But glad to see Nehra back again. He deserved a chance and he has got one now. Link to comment
graphic23
perhaps you didn't notice how he cursed himself after every damn setback and showed his frustration constantly to the opposition prompting smiles fromthe commnetators.it was childish stuff. or how he was unconvincing vs zaheer in the irani game. why do seniors like hayden and gilchrist notch up long knocks consistently? why do youngsters like raina and kohli fail to play long knocks? because they lack the maturity, polished game, years of experience to do so. the yuvraj of 2007 is vastly superior to the yuvraj of 2002. the ganguly of 2000 is vastly superior to the ganguly of 1992.even sachin didn't get a single hundred before 1994. The timing, strategy, technique is refined by years of practise and experience. kohli has not clocked enough.his timing will be better in three years time. but right now, he is better off learning. vijay is atleast three years more ready than kohli.because he strikes and times the ball significantly better.his game is relatively more ready. So showing frustration at a mistake you commit on the field is called 'immaturity'? Great. Tell that to the same Hayden and Ponting who've thrown their bat around time and again when they were dismissed, and they were fined for it too. It is not "immaturity" to show emotion on the field - it is that you are not meeting your own expectations. Um, Sachin didn't get a hundred until 1994? He was pushed into the Test side so quickly, and hit a match-saving 117* against England at an age of 17, showing maturity above and beyond his peers. He hit a 114 on a bouncy green Perth track as a 19-year old. All the other batsmen are nothing, and I do repeat this - nothing - compared to what Sachin did as a youngster. If you are using Sachin as a case for maturity, you are being dumb and blind. Oh, and what the commentators and spectators do or don't do shouldn't be a part of a player's game. For what its worth, I feel that Virat Kohli is a much better batsman than all the aforementioned "competitors." They may have played for longer, or in your case, they may be older but he certainly deserved a chance over Vijay if they were competing for the same spot. Link to comment
Cricketics
@youngIndia. may be you are forget that it was Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli who performaed at the big stage when the board president x1 faced Australia last year. They both cracked centuries while other players failed to perform. Kohli has been pretty good whenever he has been given chance. Came in for a legend, didn't do a tendulkar in Lanka series but definately saved our asses against Mendis who was all over us during that tour. Link to comment
youngindia
So showing frustration at a mistake you commit on the field is called 'immaturity'? no its about repeatedly showing such frustraion like a petulant child at the flimsiest of failures.the oldies are far more measured intheir reaction. you cannot succeed with every delivery.also its not wise to convey your problems to the opposition.its not what international cricketers would call mature behaviour. . All the other batsmen are nothing, and I do repeat this - nothing - compared to what Sachin did as a youngster. . you are missing the point dumbo. ofcourse his standards are exceptional ofcourse. but even he took his time figuring how to play longer knocks .federer become no 1 only in his fifth year on tour. even the greatest mature step by step. it does not come overnight. that's the point i am making.not that the standards of sachin or lara apply to anyone else. Oh, and what the commentators and spectators do or don't do shouldn't be a part of a player's game. For what its worth, I feel that Virat Kohli is a much better batsman than all the aforementioned "competitors." but look at yuvraj's timing. or even raina's timing these days,. he is just not there yet and for the near future .he has work to do. his competitors have their games more polished and ready. Cricketics
lol why would you compare them to Tendulkar- Dravid??? Just facts are being displayed here that Kohli has stepped up and rose to the big occasion whenever given chance and hence deserved one of those 15 slots which are now totally sealed. Link to comment

Why? Rohit played an even better knock in the Ranji final by smashing ton in both the innings. How many have done that? Not even Tendulkar has done that. what were Vijay's performance in the semis though? He couldn't help his team down UP, could he? At the same time when Kohli hits a ton vs Aussies under pressure when Badri had failed to handle their seamers, how is his game less polished? Link to comment

Cricketics
We played that series after creating havoc of victories while chasing against england and sri lanka at home. We won the first odi when Kaif finished it of the first game and then from there on we lost the next four. Lara kept saying that West Indies is a better team in every odi Link to comment
