fineleg Posted August 3, 2009 Posted August 3, 2009 Paging dhondy, cricaddict...and other knowledgeable folks. Whats the tradeoff between being out in the sun (good for bones, vit D) vs applying sunscreen to protect the skin from harm?
fineleg Posted August 3, 2009 Author Posted August 3, 2009 http://www.usatoday.com/news/nation/2005-05-21-doctors-sunshine-good_x.htm http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/4001172/ The main thing being dietary supplement alone is not supposed to be enough for Vit-D and you need to get sun.

Ram Posted August 4, 2009 Posted August 4, 2009 I don’t get it.. The other day, I went out to our apartment pool on a nice sunny afternoon, hoping to get a tan. And I came back home actually looking pitch black. :hmmm: :dontknow:
riya Posted August 4, 2009 Posted August 4, 2009 U ahve to wear sunscreen no matter what. For Vitamin D, be in Sun in the early morning for 5 minutes and take suppliments.UVA rays are extremely harmful. And MM,u should wear Sunblock before going to out door pool(water proof )one.Put that 20 minutes before u go out.
fineleg Posted August 4, 2009 Author Posted August 4, 2009 Thanks sunnyji_2k and riya! Domaink - try Coppertone.
