It doesn't matter dude. The fact of the matter is that the choker wasn't able to make 256 runs in 96 wc sf against sl and wasnt able to make a meager 360 in 2003 wc final.

One more thing, had Lee and Hauritz scored those last few runs, Pontings big match play would have gone into gutter. He failed in that game. As he said in interview, he likes to take team home. Ricky, why couldnt you take your team home on that must win game, why you had rely on tailenders. :)

I see kabira's traditional one-eyed, tunnel visioned hatred of all things Australian still hasn't changed a bit. Just because some people go overboard praising Ponting or Sachin... doesn't mean anyone has to try and make up for them by going excessively over the top in terms of trashing them. They're both outstanding cricketers, and while they have only a year or three left in them right now, let's try and appreciate what they offer - as it is unlikely we will see such batsmen in the coming generation.

Ponting attacks in a calculated manner even when the chips are down and in the BIGGEST of games - just like he usually does. He also times his innings immaculately. SRT in BIG matches does well only when he is in a murderous mood - you can almost feel how SRT is going to perform in a BIG match seeing how he tackles his first few deliveries. The moment I see those tentative defensive pokes, beating the outside edge a few times in the 1st over- I know for sure he's going to get out soon. Ponting is PEERLESS and probably all time numero uno in playing pull shots of even good length deliveries. I happened to see a Pura Cup match NSW vs Tasmania a few years back - Ponting facing MCgrath - No other international batsman can even hold a candle to Ponting in the way in handled Mcgrath - ruthlessly pulling all his back of a length deliveries outside off to the boundary and even the stands. He made Mcgrath look like just another pacer.
