CG Posted January 6, 2011 Posted January 6, 2011 Was fine with Dhoni till the SA tour I lost some respect for the guy when he said he was forced to bowl raina even though he was going at 10 an over because of the over-rate !!... would a fine hurt you that much captain Planet as opposed to valuable runs that the opposition are piling up ? I lost all respect for him after his PR stunt where his matchwinning bowler became the scapegoat. Now I am nothing but a staunch critic. We put up a fight because of indivdual brilliance in the series - nothing from his inspired captaincy. Agree man a poor world cup is what he will get for all the things he has doen in name of creating a good dressing room atmosphere,I think we can know what he did to irfan pathan and now trying to do samething to sri,Also hats off to sri for saying after he got a 5fer that dhoni bhai supported me in front of media.learn something you smalltown boy

Yeah I was surprised too when I saw the video on cricinfo where he mentioned the over-rate thing. At most he'd get fined, bans only really happen when you're either massively short - 20 overs or so or if it happens repeatedly - match after match. And he was only 5 overs short BTW... Never knew he was so money minded. :headshake:

vaibhav_delhi Posted January 6, 2011 Posted January 6, 2011 showed a lot of heart in the last 2 test matches. Consistency was the biggest improvement. Gained alot of respect in my eye. India would have high hopes from Sree for the england tour.
King Tendulkar Posted July 29, 2011 Author Posted July 29, 2011 Great bowling today. So much discilpine:--D
msb1991 Posted July 29, 2011 Posted July 29, 2011 The issue I have with Sreesanth is that he can not perform for a whole innings or match. He catalysed Broad's innings with some dreadful bowling. We need people who can stay good for at least one innings.

Care to list such bowlers Let's not be like those who usually talk about problems, don't understand what the best is from the options available or have a solution
msb1991 Posted July 29, 2011 Posted July 29, 2011 Care to list such bowlers With pretty much all other bowlers, when you talk about them bowling well, it would mean bowling well for an innings. For Sreesanth, it means one spell. I think that is too small of a payoff for spells like the one to Broad.

msb1991 Posted July 29, 2011 Posted July 29, 2011 Then we should have done pretty well at Lords :giggle: C'mon, at least read the whole sentence. To do any less is just childish.
Trichromatic Posted July 29, 2011 Posted July 29, 2011 Is it me only who thinks that we might finally see 4 bowlers for first time in the series when India comes out with Zaheer, Sree, Ishant and PK in 3rd test? :hmmm:

achilles Posted July 30, 2011 Posted July 30, 2011 Stuart Broad - "Boys should learn from Sreesanth how to bowl" :isalute:
pinkfreud Posted July 30, 2011 Posted July 30, 2011 That tail is simply too long. I still reckon it's a far better alternative than having Yuvraj in the team- unless he magically performs in this Test. Zak, PK, Ishant, and Sree would be a deadly combo in English conditions.
CG Posted August 1, 2011 Posted August 1, 2011 Sree ran in yesterday all day even in his last spell was clocking 85mph+,was expensive in his middle spell but field placement was horrible by msd .
CG Posted August 1, 2011 Posted August 1, 2011 it wasnt a fine..he would have been banned for 2 tests and that game was already over..there were no chance of win or draw then mate game was far from over their lead 70 with 5 wickets down if we got kallis at that point who knows.
King Tendulkar Posted February 13, 2012 Author Posted February 13, 2012 See Dravid the wall. I backed him way before you jumped on my bandwagon!
