Was fine with Dhoni till the SA tour I lost some respect for the guy when he said he was forced to bowl raina even though he was going at 10 an over because of the over-rate !!... would a fine hurt you that much captain Planet as opposed to valuable runs that the opposition are piling up ? I lost all respect for him after his PR stunt where his matchwinning bowler became the scapegoat. Now I am nothing but a staunch critic. We put up a fight because of indivdual brilliance in the series - nothing from his inspired captaincy.

Yeah I was surprised too when I saw the video on cricinfo where he mentioned the over-rate thing. At most he'd get fined, bans only really happen when you're either massively short - 20 overs or so or if it happens repeatedly - match after match. And he was only 5 overs short BTW... Never knew he was so money minded. :headshake:

it wasnt a fine..he would have been banned for 2 tests and that game was already over..there were no chance of win or draw then

showed a lot of heart in the last 2 test matches. Consistency was the biggest improvement. Gained alot of respect in my eye. India would have high hopes from Sree for the england tour.

The issue I have with Sreesanth is that he can not perform for a whole innings or match. He catalysed Broad's innings with some dreadful bowling. We need people who can stay good for at least one innings.

With pretty much all other bowlers,when you talk about them bowling well, it would mean bowling well for an innings. For Sreesanth, it means one spell. I think that is too small of a payoff for spells like the one to Broad.

I still reckon it's a far better alternative than having Yuvraj in the team- unless he magically performs in this Test. Zak, PK, Ishant, and Sree would be a deadly combo in English conditions.

Sree ran in yesterday all day even in his last spell was clocking 85mph+,was expensive in his middle spell but field placement was horrible by msd .
