Chasing 275+ Totals - Comparison of Indian batsmen

I always felt Bevan was a bit overrated. Very good at nudging, nurdling and building partnerships and anchoring a chase, but could never take the initiative in one. What was his strike rate chasing vs. those sorts of totals, Gambo?

Bevan was not spectacular chasing 275+ totals. 300+ CHASES Sachin Tendulkar averages 41 with a SR of 98 with 1 100 and 7 50s from 24 matches when chasing 300+ totals against non minnows.

Again, contrary to what is believed, Tendulkar easily outperforms a rather mediocre Dravid in 300+ chases. Perception, in this case, isn't reality.

I remember Bevan doing well in a high scoring chase once agasint a World Xi side, and he scored 180ish. Im not sure they won it in the end though. Might have been Asia Xi vs RoTW or something... 7 or 8 years ago. I can filter average for all chases, but like Sanjay, cant get it for just 275+ totals and only vs Non Minnows off the cricinfo Anal Lysis thingy...

If I remember the match right, Tendulkar had played a good knock in that. Mark Waugh started the chase is great fashion with some spectacular cover drives. The Bevan played a brilliant knock, but I think they fell short??

So if we consider minimum of 50 as a successful innings, while chasing large targets Tendulkar has a success rate of 34% while Inzi has 22%. To all the people who say Tendulkar can't handle pressure. :finger:
