I think more than the wickets the way Sree bowled was really top class. He found the edge of Vijay only to Ojha spill it down. Also they decided to see him off. His outswingers were too good for some of their players. Having said that Munaf has increased his pace a tad bit. He has better yorker than some of the others.

i did not see the match. if sreesanth bowled well then we should have him in the squad. and the team mgmt / captain should rotate the pace bowlers in a 7 match series.

I would have Munaf,Irfan n Nehra as our 3 pacers with PK as backup

Munaf: Bowled with control, good line length, was mostly bowling at 78-79 mph..at times cranked it up to 83-84 without much effort Sreesanth: Ran in hard, tried to bowl fast, was bowling consistently at 82-83 mph and occasional spurt of 85-86 mph..bowled with fire in the final with excellent control and good swing. Bowling wise no issues but attitude remains a trouble area. Tyagi: Very impressive, fastest bowler in the tournament..one of his delivery touched 88.7mph..was bowling at an avg of 84-84 moh, at time lacked control but wasnt holding anything back and giving it his all. His opening spell in the final was absolutely amazing, got really good seam off the track Dinda: Again fully committed, gave it his all, ran in hard and touched 85-86mph easily. Avergae of 83-84 mph, didnt have the luck as a few catches were dropped off him and some went just past the slips. Bhajji: Good to see him try to pick wickets by flighting the ball and attacking the stumps than bowling on the pads. Was bowling with greater control and bowling patiently. Hope he can reprouce some of this form against the aussies.

Ishant should be dropped(hopefully recalled in a year) and so should Nehra. With Nehra I am fully aware people love him but he is awful and will be exposed, his all round game is also a crime against humanity. Sree is a must. I like Munaf as a bowler but his all round game is on par with Nehra. Tyagi is interesting, if he has wheels could be waht we need. I rate RP Singh despite his recent poor record. I believe he will come good

Sree was plain unlucky not to have picked up any wickets. Among all the pacers in CT, batsmen had the utmost respect for Sree. They didn't took much chances of his bowling and that helped Munaf to get some wickets. Time for one of those Sidhuisms.. "statistics are like miniskirts. What they reveal is tantalizing but what they hide is crucial".

Wow, never seen Tyagi bowl but from what I read here he seems very impressive. 84mph average is awesome. we must take him now. :yay: thanks for the insight on all the bowlers mate ...cheerios :hatsoff:

If you compare Munaf at his best with Sreesanth at his best, you would find Sreesanth is a class above Munaf I don't even know what Munaf's best is. So far he is barely above average. Sreesanth on his day can be world class. 90% of his Test wickets are top order batsmen.
