As it has been highlighted before, you need a lot of resilience and character to go this long without having lost a test match. When the team has found itself in troubled waters, someone has always put their hands up and bailed us out and this has been a trend in each of the last 5 test match series that we have won.

That is some solid performance really... Well done... and looks like the have to face right now the most tough challenge of recent times, if they come able to avoid loosing any test in these 2 vs SA, I am sure then they can retain easily no.1 position for quite a long time...

So whats all this talk about how India being the 'most disputed no.1 in history of cricket..'? or that they 'have never won in South Africa..'? That’s the thing right with the naysayers right ? For some odd reason, they keep reiterating that our no.1 ranking is disputed and what not, but the plain truth, we rarely EVER lose. And even if we do (like against South Africa at home or Sri Lanka abroad), we immediately fight back to level the series. If there’s one distinguishing feature of this Indian team when compared to previous Indian teams or even other teams, it’s the ability to fight back from near hopeless situations to save and win test matches. People go by shallow arguments when they want to take potshots at our team, but if look closely they’ll find a resilience and will to fight that is only found in the best.
