rabinjackman Posted July 21, 2010 Posted July 21, 2010 For my money, bet on a pakistani victory. no way this depleted aussie side with a struggling captain can come back from this. Ponting made a big blunder when he chose to bat and now he must suffer. i hope he regains some of his intellect and his batting talent in time for the ashes series

rabinjackman Posted July 21, 2010 Posted July 21, 2010 Ponting and Australians in general' date=' never believe in bowling first no matter what the pitch condition[/quote'] Well, beliefs or traditions or whatever you call it must change. Especially when faced with superior bowling attacks or against sides who have a weak batting line up.
achilles Posted July 21, 2010 Posted July 21, 2010 Great jinx thread. 88.... this is hilarious :hysterical:
Clarke Posted July 21, 2010 Posted July 21, 2010 Hilfy has been the only one threatening to take wickets.

The Outsider Posted July 21, 2010 Posted July 21, 2010 From the looks of it :punter: will retire without winning a series in England.
gaurav92 Posted July 22, 2010 Posted July 22, 2010 Looks like Pakistan will squash the Aussies by an innings :woot:
EnterTheVoid Posted July 22, 2010 Author Posted July 22, 2010 I am not convinced this match is beyond Australia, I reckon there are still in it. After the current pair of Umar Amin (debut test) and Chota Khatmal, there are only two recognized batsman in Malik and Kamran. So three good balls and you are into the tail, the batting prowess of which, the less said the better. When Australia will be batting in the second innings, they will be batting under clear, sunny skies on a pitch that has eased out for batting. Playing sensibily, they can knock off the defecit (say 150 - 200) and aim for a lead of 150+ In essence, they will be required to score 350 odd in the second innings, which is well within their grasp. For all the hype, the bowling powerhouse wonly look liek taking wickets in overcast, seaming conditions. Bowling to Australia on days 3 and 4, my money is on Australia to score 300 + Are you game enough to back the terrifying duo of Farhat, Buttcrack, Amin etc to chase a 200 odd target in the 4th innings ?
EnterTheVoid Posted July 22, 2010 Author Posted July 22, 2010 whatta thread sree :D ... imagine what will happen if i = i+1 happens :woot: OMG, i just re read this whole thread from the first page. that is quite something. sree_oz, good luck man, but i cant help but think u are tempting fate here. Zap_Brannigan Posted July 22, 2010 Posted July 22, 2010 I dont trust Pak but Aus looks weak on all fronts. I dont think Aus is going to win this one.
Sachinism Posted July 22, 2010 Posted July 22, 2010 It'll definitely require something special from Aus to pull this one back. If Pak go on to make 300, Aus are pretty much out of it. The unpredictability of both teams makes it quite exciting
