Aaku, I think Rohit has been given enough chances and has been the luckiest but has failed to cement is place. Other guys deserve a better run ahead of him. I'll be happy if he proves me wrong:two_thumbs_up:

on basis of what? beating up on bangladesh? plenty of players have done that. i'd reserve judgement till he scores against the likes of australia, south africa etc. still maintain rohit is a superior talent.

But no doubts that Kohli is seriously talented as well. Its all good for me, we are the power houses with young super stars ready to come in. Kohli has done well but opp was very weak in SL and Bangla. Both teams fileding has been a disgrace. Against any other team other then Pak he would not have made a ton. As superior teams would have gobbled up the chances Bangla fluffed. But I back Kohli to deliver against all now!

"What people were talking about my attitude during fist IPL was right to a certain extent. I have accepted the criticism and tried to take it in the right spirit. There are two ways to deal with it; either you ignore it and keep continuing in the same way doing the same mistakes or you can accept the criticism and rectify it. And I took the second approach."
Kohli realizes that he might lose his ODI spot when Sachin Tendulkar returns to the team but he is not too fazed. "It's understandable that when he comes back, I have to sit out. That's life. It's a great honour to be sharing the dressing room with him."

He's not just going to pose a selection dilemma, but also a strategy dilemma. Given the way he has been playing, the team management will find it quite hard to not play him. That being the case, who does he replace when Sachin comes back? Raina, or could it be Jadeja? Or will the forced inclusion of Kohli spawn an entirely new ODI strategy, with Kohli coming in for the 3rd pacer? Frankly, the team wont let go off Raina that easily. He has been a loyal servant of the ODI team for almost 2 years now, while most of Kohli's exploits have come in the last 2 months. MSD seems to absolutely love the prospect of having a 2nd (specialist) spinner in Jadeja, someone who can come in and bowl 6, 7 overs and not go for more than 30 runs. It gives MSD tremendous flexibility when it comes playing around with his bowling options, especially if one pacer has gone for runs. He's been our best bat in this tournament by a fair distance, I dont see how you could possibly keep such a player out of the eleven for too long. The problem with such a strategy is, if you leave him out and the team loses, the captain will be under tremendous fire for not picking the best eleven.

I do not think they will have problem including him in my view. They will rotate between Sachin, Sehwag, Gambhir three of the most important Test players. We have to give him as much cricket as possible when he is in good form.

I suppose its highly unlikely they will ever play 7 specialist batsmen, its a bit of a waste.

I think rotation would be good for ODIs. Keep Kohli and Raina in the team to give them more experience. Rotate SRT, VS, GG, YS for the one spot for Kohli - that way the seniors get some rest too.
