new_cartman Posted January 14, 2010 Posted January 14, 2010 I am seeing under-19 world cup live ( though it is 3.30 am and I have to go to work in morning :sniffle:). Sandeep sharma and Saurabh Netravalkar have opened the bowling Sandeep seems to be quite quick for someone aged 16 . He was operating around the range of 127-132kph and bowling big in-swingers. his stats for first 3.3 overs,1 run(wide) and one wicket. Saurabh Netravalkar seemed really slow in comparion to him bowling in range of 116-118 kph Hope this guy grows 3-4 inches more in height in next few years, we should have a really fine bowler.
Online Posted January 14, 2010 Posted January 14, 2010 anyone got a stream? Heard a lot about Netravalkar, hope he's just warming up
new_cartman Posted January 14, 2010 Author Posted January 14, 2010 How many overs he will take to warm up ? he has already bowled 5 overs, still bowling below 120kph .Nothing to suggest he will go on to play for india but he is quite accurate with his line/length. He has kind of open chested action and wasim akram has pointed out lots of erros in his action already. I am surprised how he managed to get best young player award last year. He was also man of the series in recently concluded under 19 tri-series in south africa. Netravalkar is really really slow even after 4 overs . anyone got a stream? Heard a lot about Netravalkar, hope he's just warming up
Sooda Posted January 14, 2010 Posted January 14, 2010 huh? :hysterical: Theres this guy called Nechim Ahmed.. is he a U19 player? Supposed to be a decently paced bowler
new_cartman Posted January 14, 2010 Author Posted January 14, 2010 Nechim Ahmed is 21 years old now and is of course not playing in U19 world cup. He had decent pace, have not seen him after ICL. I am no expert on bowling but sandeep sharma has few things going for him he looks very fit ,has good smooth action, has good pace ,gets good swing in air and he is 16 years old !!. huh? :hysterical: Theres this guy called Nechim Ahmed.. is he a U19 player? Guest Hiten. Posted January 14, 2010 Posted January 14, 2010 Jaydev is even more impressive (IMO). He is able to extract both bounce and considerable amount of swing. Though I am not convinced about his action (not talking about the legality issue).
Laaloo Posted January 14, 2010 Posted January 14, 2010 NVM found one http://livevss.net/live-cricket.php?s=cric7
new_cartman Posted January 14, 2010 Author Posted January 14, 2010 i agree he looks good too, his action is somewhat similar to sohail Tanvir, seems to using only one hand while bowling. But unlike sohail he does not bowl wrong footed. Jaydev is even more impressive (IMO). He is able to extract both bounce and considerable amount of swing. Though I am not convinced about his action (not talking about the legality issue).

You will have to ask the admins to change your username. Coming on topic. 127-130K isnt quick. Aamer is 17 and he bowls at 140k consistently. Dont know when will we have 1 bowler who can bowl at 140k + consistently. It adds the variety into the bowling attack.

new_cartman Posted January 15, 2010 Author Posted January 15, 2010 I agree 130kish is not quick but if this guy sharma is really 16, then he really should be able to grow for at least two more years considering most people grow till 18 and add couple of yards of pace that should make him a reasonably good bowler. He already has ability to swing ball in the air. This morning though in helpful conditions, he was swinging the ball big with good control. about changing user name, i know that only admin can change it otherwise I would have done it myself. When I created this user name, I was not aware there would be another similar user name. Going by the reactions of some of users for user id new_cartman on this thread, it seems cartman is already very popular on this forum:gossip: Hello this isnt your avatar that you can change everytime you want to.
