There are no ghosts, I used to go amateur level ghost hunting (or whatever u want to call it), back in India without any techie gadgets and in the US with some low level gadgets, there have been multiple spooky scenarios, but it is just the dark and the group mentality playing tricks on you. My dad grew up in a village and has told me hazaar ghost stories, I still encourage him to do so since it is interesting.

It all boils down to whether there is any existence of a being after the death of a person i.e. his physical body. Maybe it is beyond the realm of current scientific knowledge IF such a state exists .. dont worry, we'll all figure it out and know of it IF there is life after life :winky:

my thoughts are the same!! i think particularly when u lose a loved one its easy to allow your feelings take over all thinking of logic and you would "like to believe" the presence is still there! i dont know if any of you have the same sort of stories in ur families but when my grandfather passed away we were all hounded with stories about what happens to the soul in the first 13 days and how the soul still hangs around until the prayers on the 13th day are finished!! to me? it all seems a little unrealistic...........................on the other hand junior claims he saw ans spoke to my grandfather throughout the 13 days but not after!! naturally, to start with i spooked out!! but i wasnt going to patronise my 7 yr old by saying it cant be true! maybe it was his way of dealing with the loss of his great grandfather!!
I think this is specially important. All those quacks who claim to communicate with the spirits of the past are doing a great disservice to the people to whom they say they're helping. Sure, they may help the relatives/friends of the person who died by providing them temporary solace, but the affected people cannot get closure on the whole issues, unless they convince themselves that the dead person is well and truly gone.
