coffee_rules Posted February 4, 2010 Posted February 4, 2010 ...Pakistanis in IPL? He went to the auction in IPL and ignored Pakis. Now, he is making statements to do damage control and said he wanted to select them and that they are great "neighbors". Sena is about to ban his film MNIKhan from Mumbai. Now his movie might not be shown in Mumbai. There is some public interest created for the movie because of the Sena protest etc. Now that he is enough public attention, he will make amends with Sena (fall on Bal's legs) and get the movie released in Mumbai. I still don't see his reasons why he didn't select Pakistanis. What TF am i missing? If he wanted Pakis, why didn't he select? F ock you SRK!
Pakistan-India Posted February 4, 2010 Posted February 4, 2010 he wanted pakistanis but modi and co didnt, and now he wanst his movie to be hit in pakistan:two_thumbs_up:
coffee_rules Posted February 4, 2010 Author Posted February 4, 2010 he wanted pakistanis but modi and co didnt' date=' and now he wanst his movie to be hit in pakistan:two_thumbs_up:[/quote'] How do you know that? Are you a fly in SRK's house?
achilles Posted February 4, 2010 Posted February 4, 2010 I raised this point way back on 25th Jan itself- Can someone ask SRK that if Pakistan players should have been picked' date=' why did he spend $750,000 on Shane Bond, instead of buying Umar Gul for around $500,000, who is also the BEST bowler in T20s?[/size'] SRK just has to be a pretentious guy. Having said that, I don't buy the politics being played on the issue.
Gunner_Mania Posted February 4, 2010 Posted February 4, 2010 Having said that' date=' I don't buy the politics being played on the issue.[/quote'] Agree with you. I don't care what SRK said or why he said, the politics being played on the issue stinks. Where does Shiv Sena stop? This whole politics about people saying Mumbai belongs to India and Shiv Sena saying otherwise just isn't corect. Tomorrow they will say Mumbai Indians shouldn't play in IPL unless the team is renamed as Mumbai Mahrastrians or somethign to that efffect.
punjabi_khota Posted February 4, 2010 Posted February 4, 2010 I don't the Indians in "Mumbai Indians" was supposed to mean the people of India. I think some dumb-ass tried to copy names from US sports leagues etc, and Indians in US mean the native americans...
Jadoo Posted February 4, 2010 Posted February 4, 2010 SRK is a t.o.s.s.e.r, I don't really support the senna, but on this is issue I support them fully, unlike some of our ****ing ministers like chindy; the w*nker who wants to give full security to the paki's, the Senna is taking a stance which is much more in line with the Indian sentiment.

Lord Posted February 5, 2010 Posted February 5, 2010 lol at people knocking SRK.Amitabh has said the same thing(that he would like to shake hands with Pak).also P.Chidambaram also said he would have like Pak players to be there.so why exactly is SRK a tosser.?why is Shiv Sena targeting SRK alone. India TV showed an interesting thing.while the Shiv Sena is tearing posters outside cinemas n threatening to stop MNIK,there is a BIG poster in front of Shiv Sena office n that is intact, funny,no? n some others showed Bal Thackerey n Co. welcoming Miandad in his house in 2004

He is a owner of a team in IPL, was at the auction, bought Bond for 750ks, but still says he wanted to buy Pakis. SO WHY DIDN"T HE? Anybody asked him those questions instead of being in awe at his sound bytes. He still hasn't given a valid answer to anybody.

Srk said nothing wrong and he will never apologise..Never ! :two_thumbs_up: I dont get it what was so wrong with his comment ? He said they are nice players wanted to bid for 'em but due to 'chances' of non availability they couldnt bid ? Whats the problem ? :S Sena can feck off :middlefinger:
flamy Posted February 5, 2010 Posted February 5, 2010 Sena can feck off :middlefinger: how quickly they grow *sigh*
Shane Posted February 5, 2010 Posted February 5, 2010 Sena can feck off :middlefinger: Owwwwwwwww, Kitniii Gandiiiiiiiiiiii Bateinnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn Karteinnnnnnn Hiooooooo!
Aaku Posted February 5, 2010 Posted February 5, 2010 :finger: * See I used the smilie for the first time naw so ~
yoda Posted February 5, 2010 Posted February 5, 2010 He would definitely picked a Pak player if there was a green light to pick them going by the history of that franchise. Clearly they were forbidden from bidding on them and all of them agreed that they would abide by that together, and no one seems to come out in the open and say what the exact reason was other than conflicting statements from various corners.

coffee_rules Posted February 5, 2010 Author Posted February 5, 2010 ^^ exactly.. its easy to read between the lines.. Then he shouldn't act all saintly and come out with the reasons of non-selection. There is no difference between him and others who don't want Pakistanis to play in IPL. Now, he comes out good for Pakistanis, the poor soul who was forced not to select them. If he was so sorry, why not buy a team in the karachi Champions T20 league or whatever Rashid Latif is starting. That way, he can select pakistanis and visit his family there.

This is not the impression that local people have and people coming here carry. Its shameful that in the 21st century, while we are talking about being a Global Superpower, we have politics being played on language. Shame on you, politicians. All of you !
