Really, what happened to the team? It was always a team full of problems, but they always managed to pull off their share of victories- most of them in spectacular fashion. But now they are reduced to a sorry bunch of losers. Where did things really go so very wrong for them? I have been watching cricket for sometime, I never saw a team reduce to almost nothing like this. If not anything else, the world at least has to learn what not to do from this.

Giving details, he said in the Test series in New Zealand, when Yousuf and coach Intikhab Alam sent Umar Akmal to bat in at number three, his elder brother Kamran threw a tantrum. "It was astonishing the way Kamran behaved. He went after Yousuf and Intikhab for allegedly trying to hurt his brother's career by sending him at number three. Kamran's tantrum virtually forced Yousuf to go and bat himself at number three in the second innings of the Test," the source said. He said throughout the New Zealand tour, no player was willing to bat at number three and Faisal Iqbal did it in the final Test only because he was desperate to play. "But even Faisal told Yousuf and Intikhab that he was willing to bat at number three but he must be given a fair chance and not made a sacrificial lamb," the source said. He said Misbah was another problem but Shoaib Malik was the worst of the lot. "Shoaib Malik was the worst when he was not playing and sitting in the dressing room. He created a vile atmosphere with his attitude running down the players and passing snide remarks. He also complained a lot. The board should ensure that he doesn't sit in the dressing room if he is not playing. He created differences in the team," the source said. He said after the Sydney Test, Umar Akmal tried to fake a back injury when he came to know that his brother Kamran was being dropped from the team. "Umar, four days before the Test in Hobart, said he had a back problem and couldn't practise or play. The management sent him for an MRI scan when the reports came clear, Umar claimed he had developed a stiff back because of the weather," the source said. The source said that Yousuf had failed miserably to control things and the management also seemed helpless. "Players dictated terms to the management. In Tasmania during a practice match, Salman Butt refused to open in the second innings, insisting he had scored a hundred and wanted a rest. Kamran also didn't keep wickets," the source said. "These were the same group of players who had ganged up against Younis Khan when he was captain and they are causing harm to Pakistan cricket with their behaviour," the source said. Meanwhile, the Wasim Bari-led six-man panel, which will probe the team's performance, has been directed to complete its hearing and submit its recommendations by end of February, Pakistan Cricket Board's legal advisor and panel member Tafazzul Rizvi told PTI. "We have to complete our proceedings and give our report because of the heavy international commitments of the Pakistan team this year," Rizvi said. When you have eleven players wanting to be the captain, you just can't put a "team" on the playing field. I have heard people say that, as a cricketing nation, Pakistan are blessed with raw talent. But there seems to be a dearth of it recently. If you say that Imran Farhat is their best available opening batsman then there is a serious problem with the homegrown talent.

Groupism and infighting was always there in team Pakistan. It's their second nature. But in the past it never was so damaging. For example Wasim and Waqar had their differences, but they also tried to outperform each other on the field thereby adding to the team performance.

They need the ball chomper Afretard as their captain.. Noone else can control these warring factions within the team. That and axing of Yousuf,Malik,Misbah,Younis form the squad. A batting line-up of Nazir,Butt,Fawad and Akmal and a mix of random domestic guys like Nasir JAmshed etc won't do worse than the one at present minus all the infighting

Same old story with Pakistan. In fact Aussies lose the Twenty20s because they treat it like a festival game rather than a game that needs to be won. Yesterday was no different, the players walk out with microphones and take the game far too easy. Any other opponent including Bangladesh would have won last night's Twenty20 but for Pakistan. Aussies got away lightly yesterday.

I don't understand this business of Pakistan produces talents.... Every international cricket side produces good talent of course. That is why there is a domestic cricket structure and selectors. What's with this Pakistan produces talent stuff? Just look around every international cricket side produces good talents. Unfortunately it's not one or two talent that can win games, it is the side that turns up well organized and good in all departments. Not just bowling or batting. Fielding and catching is bloody important in any format of the game. Unless each of the Pakistani players are spending an hour at least at fielding and catching practice they will find it hard. Similarly wonder what sort of batting trainings they do. However talented you are, you just can't turn up in international cricket and hope to beat a side. There has to be enough batting, bowling and fielding plans before taking the ground. I feel Pakistanis lack this big time. Either the players are not motivated enough or the coaching staff just can't get the players to do the right thing. Or perhaps none of the players are good enough to strike form in a game :secret:
