satyam1729 Posted April 6, 2010 Posted April 6, 2010 Whenever you next play in SA' date=' Aus or england you will lose number 1 status.[/quote'] England:haha::hysterical::giggle:
Serani Posted April 6, 2010 Posted April 6, 2010 England:haha::hysterical::giggle: Still have better fast bowlers than India by a mile, cant wait to see Ishant lining up to send down his 80 MPH thunderbolts backed up by Sree steaming in bowling beamers. The last series in England contained a great deal of fortune for Inidia you will have to admit, hanging on at Lords with bad light, winning the toss at trent bridge practically guaranteed a win and the oval was typically flat.
Sachinism Posted April 6, 2010 Posted April 6, 2010 MR.SACHINISM, 3 times 4 months makes a year (in case you forgot) 30 times 4 months makes it 10 years, but we still have perform in that time. Its not like that its magically gonna happen

Yes a lot of luck was involved; else it would have been a lot worse for England.
Serani Posted April 6, 2010 Posted April 6, 2010 I am really not convinced by Indias number 1 credentials yet, not that im convinced by anyone elses claim to be number 1, I see Ind, SA, Aus and Eng all capable of beating each other and SL capable of beating anyone at home. Dont see why when India gets to rank 1 all of a sudden the ICC ranking get so much importance.
vvvslaxman Posted April 6, 2010 Posted April 6, 2010 Whenever you next play in SA' date=' Aus or england you will lose number 1 status.[/quote'] England? :hysterical: When was the last time England beat India in a Test series. That was before Rahul Dravid made test debut :hysterical: He is almost retiring.
Sachinism Posted April 6, 2010 Posted April 6, 2010 Until you play pakistan :D :winky: Don't see both sides facing each other in the near future. So I guess we're holding it for another 10 years :two_thumbs_up:
vvvslaxman Posted April 6, 2010 Posted April 6, 2010 Until you play pakistan :D :winky: Read the question carefully. We didn' ask "When will viru register his third triple century".
dial_100 Posted April 7, 2010 Author Posted April 7, 2010 Please confirm... Is this the longest that anyone else stood on #1 position after Australia? If that is the case then it is quite credible... Congrats Blue B->
99.94 Posted April 7, 2010 Posted April 7, 2010 That's a pretty incredible stat - it says a lot about Australia's dominance :)
don_corleone840 Posted May 7, 2010 Posted May 7, 2010 India completes Five months at top!!!!:clap::clap: WE ARE REAL WORLD CHAMPIONS.
SJS50 Posted May 7, 2010 Posted May 7, 2010 We shouldn't worry about the rankings and look to perform on consistent basis. Well said.
SJS50 Posted May 7, 2010 Posted May 7, 2010 :clap::clap: WE ARE REAL WORLD CHAMPIONS. Of course we are . . . er . . . we have never beaten Australia in Australia EVER, never beaten South Africa in South Africa EVER (in fact we have won just one Test in four series spread over 18 years in that country), we haven't beaten Sri Lanka in Sri Lanka in the last 16 years. But yes, by a formula we are world number one and we can call ourselves world champions, whatever that may mean :winky:
