Right on. You dont get to TOP w/o beating all the major teams in 3 years time. We are comfortably ahead of Aussies by 8 point and SA by 4 points...That means we were better in 4 test matches against our opposition compared to SA and 6 test compared to Aus... Again these are estimated difference to give us that kind of lead. All these stupid people all of sudden going all over because of 1 test match... Our team came back strong in the next test. And chockers couldn't bat on the first day pitch which was strong batting pitch all the way. It was evident in 2 100s in their first innings. Rest just got out to very goodl bowling... B->B-> I am enjoying our #1 position as people getting really J.:yay:

All this debate... when I want to see if a player is out, or has scored a century I look up the scoreboard. It doesn't matter how many times he was unfairly not given out before he scored a 100. It doesn't matter if he played exquisite strokes before being Bucknored at 5. And when I want to see which team is # 1 in Tests, I look at the ICC rankings for Tests. End of.

Dale Steyn mentioned after his magnificent spell in Nagpur that high pace was always a threat to batsmen and there was no need to change his approach simply because the pitches were slower and the bounce lower. Well what happened for that pace in eden gardens where did it disappear, SA won in nagpur because of injuries to Indian batsmen in nagpur if both dravid and Laxman were playing match would have ended in draw there.The ball change and injuries helped SA a lot there. Ground fielding is not as crucial as it is in limited overs cricket. Zaheer and Harbhajan are ranked sixth and seventh in the world respectively so our bowling is not as bad as you claim it is, either.

ofcourse, i'm talking about test cricket our close in catching needs to much better bhajji hasn't looked good for a couple of years now zaheer has been impressive not good support to them either
