gaurav92 Posted November 11, 2011 Posted November 11, 2011 ^Whats the relation of that pic with the thread ? :offtopic:
vamos_rafa Posted November 11, 2011 Posted November 11, 2011 Yeah' date=' actually he is. But if he continues this form in his last years, he'll be recognized as ATG by everyone... not that it matters. We have produced three ATG - Sunny,SRT,RD. Viru may get there if he plays his next 4-5 years in same form.[/quote'] Viru needs to prove himself in places like England,SA IMO, before we can call him an ATG.
CSK Fan Posted November 11, 2011 Posted November 11, 2011 Any chance he might retire with a sub 50 average?
deathmonger Posted November 11, 2011 Posted November 11, 2011 Viru needs to prove himself in places like England' date='SA IMO, before we can call him an ATG.[/quote'] He will. In Viru we trust. :isalute:
deathmonger Posted November 11, 2011 Posted November 11, 2011 Any chance he might retire with a sub 50 average? only if he plays till say 2013 and continues *****y form. mind you, both of them have to happen.
Trichromatic Posted November 11, 2011 Posted November 11, 2011 Any chance he might retire with a sub 50 average? 10 tests more.
deathmonger Posted November 11, 2011 Posted November 11, 2011 10 tests more. and scoring maximum how many runs in those 10 tests?
BERGKAMP Posted November 11, 2011 Posted November 11, 2011 no worries about his poor form, our bowlers will soon make him into a world beater again :winky:
carnish Posted November 11, 2011 Posted November 11, 2011 yeah ponting is bound to get back to form against INDIA... india in australia is his fav. opposition and he is gonna score huge against us.. he needs to be dropped before our series starts in australia
Laaloo Posted November 11, 2011 Posted November 11, 2011 no worries about his poor form' date=' our bowlers will soon make him into a world beater again :winky:[/quote'] Aussies play NZ before us :nervous:
Trichromatic Posted November 12, 2011 Posted November 12, 2011 Ponting's career can be divided into three phases. First 54 matches Runs : 3235 Avg : 43.71 100s : 9 50s : 15 Next 53 matches Runs : 5813 Avg : 75.05 100s : 24 50s : 20 Last 49 matches Runs : 3256 Avg : 38.76 100s : 6 50s : 21
Trichromatic Posted November 18, 2011 Posted November 18, 2011 zameen-asman ka antar aa gaya hai. :headshake:
ganeshran Posted November 18, 2011 Posted November 18, 2011 Time for a new thread. Tracking the gap between Wall and Punter

SachDan Posted November 18, 2011 Posted November 18, 2011 zameen-asman ka antar aa gaya hai. :headshake: Bumping in-between the match :headshake:
carnish Posted November 18, 2011 Posted November 18, 2011 another duck for punter... guess his days are numbered now unless he plays against us which now looks highly unlikely
mishra Posted November 18, 2011 Posted November 18, 2011 Time for a new thread. Tracking the gap between Wall and Punter  Punter isnt worth that anymore. He has been measured. :orderorder:
SachDan Posted November 21, 2011 Posted November 21, 2011 :punter: Completes yet another mediocre performance, 70 runs @ 17.5
Name|Matches| Innings|Runs|Average|100|50 Sachin Tendulkar|183| 301| 15086| 56.08| 51| 62 Ricky Ponting |156| 267| 12557| 52.53| 39| 57
A gap of 2529 runs A gap of 12 100's 28 innings without a ton! 1st fifty plus score in 14 innings'
Sid Posted November 21, 2011 Posted November 21, 2011 I have to admit even in his low phase before 2007,Sach was not as medicore as Ponting has become. These are very poor numbers for great batsman like Punter.I thought he had comeback to form last year in India where I thought he played the best he has ever played in India.Though even during that series he was unable to convert ,like today. If this means its end of his career, then it will be a sad end.
