suraj Posted March 18, 2010 Posted March 18, 2010 While he does use some cliched terma at times- I don't nderstand why Shastri cops so much hatred despite being a pretty good speaker & presentor
Laaloo Posted March 18, 2010 Posted March 18, 2010 The dangerous combo of LSRK and Defeeeenitely... +++^infinity
Shane Posted March 18, 2010 Posted March 18, 2010 The Sri Lankan commentators are irritating and the Pakistanis are funny, esp Beqar T Twanty Younis. :D
thevortex Posted March 18, 2010 Posted March 18, 2010 Russel Arnold actually comes across as mildly entertaining in an underplayed sort of way. Shastri is the bringer-on of headaches, basically :). To him excitement equals shouting.
thevortex Posted March 18, 2010 Posted March 18, 2010 And I have never really understood why Arun Lal is criticized. He has a good voice, has nice diction and is entertaining as well.
Lord Posted March 18, 2010 Posted March 18, 2010 Zaheer Abbas.can make T20s sound like boring tests . n Ranjith Fernando
Gunner_Mania Posted March 18, 2010 Posted March 18, 2010 Bob Willis..He always seems to be pissed off about something or the other.
Sir john Posted March 18, 2010 Author Posted March 18, 2010 harsha bhogle is best in this business:icflove:
Diabolos Posted March 18, 2010 Posted March 18, 2010 Sunil Gavaskar commentating + Sachin Tendulkar batting = TV on mute for me... Plus side about Gavaskar is that makes valid points but unfortunately he is very biased towards India, ain't he? Anyway, i voted for Siva'krishnan due to his squeaky high pitched voice and excessive dramatisation...But, if there had been a choice for Brad Hogg, i would've done him instead... I like a few commentators though like Ian Chappell, Shastri(only in Test cricket), David Lloyd, Michael Holding, Ian Bishop to name a few... PS: Bhogle knows sh!t about cricket
Gunner_Mania Posted March 18, 2010 Posted March 18, 2010 PS: Bhogle knows sh!t about cricket And I'm sure you think all those people who signed him up for radio commentary back in the 1990s i.e AIR, Australian Broadcasting Corporation, the BBC, ESPN Star also know sh!t else they wouldn't have signed him.

Serani Posted March 18, 2010 Posted March 18, 2010 Some bangla guy called Shimam, dunno who the f he is but watching the england series and he just pops up occasionally saying nothing of note.
Sir john Posted March 18, 2010 Author Posted March 18, 2010 full name of his is shamim chowdhry,he is worst bangladeshi coomentator
Clarke Posted March 18, 2010 Posted March 18, 2010 oyee, wth is Gavaskar doing in that list ? No Indian commentator brings as much technical finesse to the game as him, and u put him in the same poll as Arun Lal
Serani Posted March 18, 2010 Posted March 18, 2010 I find most asian commentators pretty irritating, and this isnt an accent thing, honestly most of them add nothing to the game maybe except Sunny G, Shastri seems to have turned into a personal advertisment for the IPL, others are just worse, I mean Russel Arnold today was probably the poorest commentary I have ever heard, "Thats a huge DLF Maximum" and "Rajastan just havent hit enough DLF maximums, they should take the micro max time out because they are offering too many karbonn kamal catches" ok maybe that ones made up but he may aswell have been saying it. You would expect professional cricketers to offer some technical thoughts to the game rather than shouting the same scripted "he hit that like a tracer bullet" and "clean as a whistle" all the time.
