Roshanrocks Posted April 20, 2010 Posted April 20, 2010 we need sulkin - Yuvi to develop an injury or may be short ball - Pathan
Aaku Posted April 20, 2010 Posted April 20, 2010 Veeeeeeeeerrrrruuu :(( Vijayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy :woot:
Andy Posted April 20, 2010 Posted April 20, 2010 ****. Thats a big blow. I still remember how badly we missed him last time.
Aaku Posted April 20, 2010 Posted April 20, 2010 I think Uthappa would have been a better choice. Me thinks captain doesn't like Uthappa or captain thinks we need someone who can play with a little more control than Uthappa can. Anyways, missing Sehwag will be a huge huge blow for us. He can also bowl part-time if necessary. A replacement for an opener should be an opener! :dontknow: And he will be fantaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaab
SachDan Posted April 20, 2010 Posted April 20, 2010 He looked out of touch throughout IPL but with Viru, you never know when he's going to blast his way in to form so we'll definitely miss him :(

Sir john Posted April 20, 2010 Posted April 20, 2010 vijay is a bad replacement for shewag i can say only
king2be98 Posted April 20, 2010 Posted April 20, 2010 I think as a Pakistani fan this is great news, Sehwag is a very destructive batsmen, we all know this. The reason why India won in 2007 I feel was because Sehwag and Gambhir at the top were able to assess the wickets quickly and then play accordingly. Sehwag's sheer presence was enough to put the element of fear and awe in the other sides. Murali Vijay is the right replacement in my opinion, he is a controlled aggressive batsman, one who will see out the good bowlers and target the weaker ones. I think Sehwag not playing decreases India's chances of winning by 15%, he would have been a huge factor. But I must also say, that only India has the talent in terms of batting to replace such an influential player. Well it's a big relief for other sides that he's not going play, a massive relief.
zubinpepsi Posted April 20, 2010 Posted April 20, 2010 not much of a loss... sehwag hasnt done much in T20... missing viru in tests will cost us more than T20.. and IPL :wall:
abhinav Posted April 20, 2010 Posted April 20, 2010 Not too concerned by this. Veeru looked very out of sorts and disinterested through out the IPL. I hardly ever saw him getting involved in the game. I wonder if it is actually an injury or something else.
b555 Posted April 20, 2010 Posted April 20, 2010 somethings seriously wrong with the brains of people in selection commitee and of dhoni
EnterTheVoid Posted April 20, 2010 Posted April 20, 2010 Twontee Twontee, who cares. No really, who cares.
coffee_rules Posted April 20, 2010 Posted April 20, 2010 Uthappa would have been better, he has experience playing in T20 WCs and also in WI. In his better form, he would have won matches single handedly. Now, it's all lotter. Damn you, Dhoni.
vvvslaxman Posted April 20, 2010 Posted April 20, 2010 Hope Vijay is given all the freedom to play shots much like he gets for CSK. Yes. Vijay has transformed. But it is still not his natural game. So his success largely depends on the role he is assigned to. But a spirited player neverthless.
Riley's Girl Posted April 20, 2010 Posted April 20, 2010 Twontee Twontee, who cares. No really, who cares. Just everyone who went to the trouble of reading & replying to this thread.:winky:

Actually he is the kind of player that we lack. A genuine finisher due to poor form of Yuvraj.
