Rajiv Posted April 26, 2010 Author Posted April 26, 2010 I know but, again, would I enjoy Mahabharata after watching Ramayan
Rajiv Posted April 26, 2010 Author Posted April 26, 2010 http://abhisays.com/internet/watch-old-doordarshan-serials-online.html
Clarke Posted April 26, 2010 Posted April 26, 2010 Doesnt matter .. i saw the Mahabharat sometime back and it aint some advanced electromagnetics course that needs a perquisite.
Desi Cartman Posted April 26, 2010 Posted April 26, 2010 Ramayan is like a bhashan , I dont think at your age ( which is neither not too young nor too old) you will enjoy it. Mahabhart is full on action so you might be able to develop interest. Also Ramayan is shot on indoor sets so it doesnt look all that great http://www.hindilinks4u.net/2008/10/ramanand-sagars-ramayan-1986-all.html Mahabhart :http://www.hindilinks4u.net/2008/09/mahabharat-1988-all-episodes.html#axzz0mAKo5mDc

mastana Posted April 26, 2010 Posted April 26, 2010 Ahem. Malgudi Days mean anything to you' date=' gujjew?[/quote'] Nope. He is a Chandrakanta fan. Yakkuu :hehe:
Clarke Posted April 26, 2010 Posted April 26, 2010 ^^ Very true, infact if i recall correctly, its somewhere between episodes 70-75 of B.R. Chopra's Mahabharat wherein the Gita saar is seen, just before the beginning of the battle of Kurukshetra.
dial_100 Posted April 26, 2010 Posted April 26, 2010 Rajiv, very good idea. Watch either one if you take interest you will like it. I have just watched MB on the big screen but the core is something that we better undestand at this age. OMG, mahabharat is unbelievable source of knowledge. All the terrible things of Kaliyug started from that point on, the behavior pattern of humans and the values etc how they changed and the most important point is that Duryodhan was an incarnation of demon Kali. Bhishma and the meaning of his oath, curse on his birth and so on. Shri Krishna is the greatest incarnation of Shri Vishnu, you will like the whole thing. Just be patient.
DomainK Posted April 26, 2010 Posted April 26, 2010 My advice: Watch Mahabharat. Ramayan is boring and Ramanand Sagar's Ramayan was a badly done series. The acting, makeup, dialogs, costumes, lighting....everything was substandard and on today's date you will find it unbearable. In Mahabharat however, the story itself is so effin interesting that it would keep you engrossed throughout.
