S.Bond Posted April 28, 2010 Posted April 28, 2010 Talk about quality cricket. How about 9-0 in Australia :hysterical::haha: Are you the same who run away in the wasim akram thread? hmmm!!!! We lost to 9-0 to australia because we didn't played well... Our team is not playing well recently... Things like this happen...
Jadoo Posted April 28, 2010 Posted April 28, 2010 Are you the same who run away in the wasim akram thread? hmmm!!!! We lost to 9-0 to australia because we didn't played well... Our team is not playing well recently... Things like this happen... With a team that is full of talent and match winners as you guys keep telling us, to not only lose 9-0, but to get humiliated in the way you guys were, that is pretty embarrassing to be honest.

I just went away because i thought i had already proved Akram was a tail-ender basher. :haha:
Mamu Posted April 28, 2010 Author Posted April 28, 2010 I just hope you don't cry in front f your computer and don't break it mamu! Talking about IPL : Personnaly, I think that IPL is formidable for indian cricket but not so good for international cricket. So that will be kind, if the indians could at least reduce the length of it. Because there is so much money that all international players will come here, and as a CRICKET FAN it's sad that for 2 months we have not quality International cricket played... I find IPL boring but nt because it's Indian PL but because it's T20, and so the same applies for Big bash and other domestic T20 matches... Wow Bond -- did not think you could post something without getting personal. Nice! OK now to discuss IPL. Trust me when I say this, my feelings about IPL are not 1 bit different from what your thoughts are. The First IPL game I watched live was this years final -- and that too on a hazy hacked link. Otherwise I probably wouldn't have even watched that. Having said that unlike most of you guys and people from other countries too -- I am in awe of what that has done to cricket in general and T-20 cricket in particular and applaud it from the sidelines. There is no denying that anybody who doesn't approve the "Power of IPL" is a god damned moron hiding in a cave afraid of facing up to reality. Also what I have noticed is -- IPL is used quite frequently as a subject to ridicule BCCI, IPL, Govt of India, Cricket in India -- more so with un-substantiated facts, no logic, wimpy statistics -- that I will defend -- even if that means I have to get rude, arrogant and obnoxious. More so that coming from people-- who are fans of countries whose Cricket Boards (and everything else in general) are in such pathetic conditions -- it is not even worth laughing at. This from people whose Cricket Boards had a chance to improve cricket in general when they were at the helm for more than a century - but did Jack Shyte! Don't get me wrong I am not defending IPL and BCCI at all. They have had their problems. But I am also very very proud of the action we have taken. Within 15 days of the scandal - the most powerful man w.r.t cricket was thrown out. How many of the cricket boards would have done that? Dare I say -- even now if Modi is interested (and if it is possible) -- PCB would hire him in a heartbeat --and even a perennial hater like you wouldn't deny that. Heck, i would even go to the extent of saying -- that if PCB and CA were ruled by a person -- who was even 25% Modi -- they would have gone all out to defend that guy -- hiding all his scandals (just going by the track record of these two countries -- how they had in the past gone on to protect their Drug Abusers, MatchFixers -- etc etc.) Last -- I am yet to see a valid argument from any sane person -- as to why they agree with Miandad on ICC taking over a DOMESTIC tournament like IPL. PS: I am not even getting into the sorry state of affairs of the ICC. That is for some other day.
Mamu Posted April 28, 2010 Author Posted April 28, 2010 Why do you care how much & where PCB spends its money?? Why are you so obsessed with financial dealings of PCB? PCB might be corrupt but atleast they are not bringing in black money to make it white like whats going behind the scenes in IPL. Oh god now I have to answer this Joker! Yes I have a huge problem with your PCB showing $14000/Day as expenses. Do you want to know why? 1) PCB is not an independent organization unlike rest of the boards. PCB is run by the Govt of Pakistan. 2) Govt of Pakistan runs ISI, which in turn has a hand deep in the Terrorist Activites in Pakistan. So by showing to the world $14000/Day -- what you indeed could have done is spent only $2000/Day and siphoned off the rest to ISI and Terrorist Activites. This my friend is a huge problem. Yes any other country this might not be a problem as the money trail is accounted for -- but Pakistan is a different animal -- where Independent Reports have suggested that money given for Aid has been siphoned off to ISI and un-lawful activities. Now to add to that -- a bug chunk of that 14000 probably was given to PCB by ICC (for either playing in one of the tournaments, or having let go of their World Cup aspirations), given the fact that PCB has made 0 dollars over the last 3 years in any Bi-Lateral Series And to add even more 80% of that money to ICC comes from where? You know the answer don't you? Yes even though what I am stating is an allegation -- given the state of affairs there -- it is not completely impossible. Which is why I have always asked for Independent Auditors to Audit the PCB
asterix Posted April 28, 2010 Posted April 28, 2010 So, after the Terrorist attack on Srilankan players in Lahore, PCB actually managed to make money out of that incident by claiming loss of income because of the reassigning of World Cup matches to other countries. So basically PCB made money doing nothing in continuing their long tradition of making money out of Terrorist activities. I agree, the PCB accounts should be audited by independant Auditors especially if they are getting doles money from ICC.

They criticize IPL at the start and end but between they say they would love to come back.

Bloody hypocrites (not all of them, most of them).
coffee_rules Posted April 28, 2010 Posted April 28, 2010 FOr all non-Indian cricket followers , nobody is forcing you to follow IPL. You see that abbreviation has a 'I' in the front. It means it is meant for "Indian" cricket. You can switch off the telly or watch Hira Mandi mujras.
Maha_Apa Posted April 28, 2010 Posted April 28, 2010 Looks like most people here are still bitter over that famous Miandad six at Sharjah, hence the abuse against him.
achilles Posted April 28, 2010 Posted April 28, 2010 He was Miandad with the bat in hand and "Morondad" with his gob. Ofcourse, I can only talk for myself..
