Watched True Grit yesterday. - 4.2/5 Brilliant...freaking brilliant. One of the best movies in recent times. There are two many positives: 1. Excellent casting and acting. 2. For a debutant, Hailee Steinfeld has done a terrific job. If she gets nominated for Best Supporting Actress, she is sure to ace it. The scene where she swindles the old man out of good money and horse is EPIC. 3. The Dude. Nuff said. 4. Slick humor as you would expect in any of the Coens' movies. 5. There are some beautiful shots in between too. Overall, a very very good film. Black Swan good, True Grit better. :two_thumbs_up:

Tron: Legacy As expected, jolly good special effects, even better sound effects along with a banal story. I caught this on big ass imax screen that had 10 KW sound system, hence watchable.

Pride & Prejudice - 9/10 I hate "period" movies and I actually repeated scenes from this one. Shelter - 7/10 A pretty generic horror/thriller in the vein of Fallen.

I liked Pride & Prejudice (both the movie and the mini TV series). Have you seen Atonement? Lovely WWII period movie.

Chloe - 9.5/10 It loses a 0.5 because I heard it is a remake. But, WOW. So goooooooood! Only at the end credits did I realize it was Egoyan. Fabulous stuff. Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm!
