Sachin=GOD Posted October 7, 2012 Posted October 7, 2012 If you liked Iron man in Avengers' date=' do watch the Iron man series. He is the coolest superhero with the coolest humor ever, unlike other serious superheroes.[/quote'] have seen Iron Man 1 - pretty cool. Will watch Iron Man 2 soon.
Precambrian Posted October 7, 2012 Posted October 7, 2012 Watched the Avengers.. bull crap movie. No idea how it became such a hit.
Desi Cartman Posted October 7, 2012 Posted October 7, 2012 Watched the Avengers.. bull crap movie. No idea how it became such a hit. I stopped watching 40 mins into the movie. The loser captain America was so ducking annoying
Sooda Posted October 7, 2012 Posted October 7, 2012 ^ O man really. I find it bizarre how someone can NOT like that film. Captain America is awesome, a hero and a legend.
SLICKR392 Posted October 7, 2012 Posted October 7, 2012 Watched the Avengers.. bull crap movie. No idea how it became such a hit. :hysterical: Hollywood mass movie. Bunch of fairy tale superheroes.
Precambrian Posted October 7, 2012 Posted October 7, 2012 I stopped watching 40 mins into the movie. The loser captain America was so ducking annoying Everything about that movie was annoying... That thunderhammer guy was more than sufficient for that villian Loki in his own movie.. now 5-6 of them can't get him... real WTF... Lamest was the climax, all the 5-6 superheroes can't get anything done to the great invading army when just a single nuke missile is apparently enough for all em.. Not even the greatest of minds, Banner and Iron man could figure that initially:haha: Even the humour was pathetic. The only saving grace Hulk's smashing of Loki.. Essentially was a question of who had the most star power to determine the ultimate hero - obv happened to Iron man. WTF was Samuel Jackson doing in the whole series? :finger: Might as well made it Hulk and Iron Man Co. take on Loki, the others, all of them were just side roles. Unwanted.
Precambrian Posted October 7, 2012 Posted October 7, 2012 so guys please recommend some more superhero movies (I wasn't a fan of such movies so I have only seen the Batman movies and some parts of the Spiderman trilogy till now) :D Batman triology by Nolan (especially 1 and 2) & imho the greatest of them all, Unbreakable. Try Ang Lee's adaptation of Hulk as well. Personally found it refreshing and daring.

Crookbond Posted October 7, 2012 Posted October 7, 2012 Unbreakable is kind of weird in it's own sense - nice story line and Bruce Willis plus Samuel Jackson make it riveting.
vvvslaxman Posted October 7, 2012 Posted October 7, 2012 Unbreakable is kind of weird in it's own sense - nice story line and Bruce Willis plus Samuel Jackson make it riveting. you saw this just now !!!
Precambrian Posted October 7, 2012 Posted October 7, 2012 Unbreakable is kind of weird in it's own sense - nice story line and Bruce Willis plus Samuel Jackson make it riveting. "This is where we shake hands..." One of the greatest underrated dialogues in cinema
Crookbond Posted October 8, 2012 Posted October 8, 2012 you saw this just now !!! NO - I watched it about 4 years earlier. Too young to watch & understand it when it was released. "This is where we shake hands..." One of the greatest underrated dialogues in cinema Don't quite remember - needs to watch it again.
Old guy Posted October 8, 2012 Posted October 8, 2012 watched unbreakable it was strange different from what i expected.. (for good actually ) might watch it again some time later :D
Sooda Posted October 8, 2012 Posted October 8, 2012 Everything about that movie was annoying... That thunderhammer guy was more than sufficient for that villian Loki in his own movie.. now 5-6 of them can't get him... real WTF... . THOR. And One on One he is more than enough to beat Loki, but now Loki has a whole army, so Thor needs his fellow Avengers. Lamest was the climax' date=' all the 5-6 superheroes can't get anything done to the great invading army when just a single nuke missile is apparently enough for all em.. Not even the greatest of minds, Banner and Iron man could figure that initially:haha: .[/quote'] Hm, may have a point. But they were the Aliens ships streaming from that open portal for most of that time, it was hardly easy to get through it and fire a nuke at the mother ship. And the Avengers had to defend New Yorks humans. Also by this same token there are relatively minor plot holes in EVERY film. Just look at any éow It Should Have Ended on Youtube? Could not disagree more, it was a witty script with a few real laugh out loud moments. Nick Fury was never going to be a major character as such apart from assembling the Avengers. Yes Iron Man and to a lesser extent Hulk were kinda the stars, but each had a key role... Captain America was obviously the leader, and the single best sequence in the film is when the avengers work as a team to bring the aliens down...ill find that on youtube if poss... One thing this film does a lot better than the Dark Knight Rises is treating the many characters. In TDKR, Alfred a major character who is probably the finest actor in the film disappears and doesnt surface again till the end. Catwoman kinda larks about doing nothing whilst Gotham is under siege. Contrast that with the Avengers where Hawkeye, who barely speaks, still gets a fair amount to do in terms of action and is quite cool and charismatic in doing it. Heck even Agent Coulson has a part to play
Sooda Posted October 8, 2012 Posted October 8, 2012 E-RZLLsqW88 No other superhero film boasts a scene as Exhilarating as this
adi B Posted October 8, 2012 Posted October 8, 2012 you saw this just now !!! lol..was thinking the same
Sachin=GOD Posted October 11, 2012 Posted October 11, 2012 Saw 2 movies back to back : Barfi - 8/10 Ranbir Kapoor was very good while Priyanka Chopra's acting was nothing special. Almost all the comedy scenes seemed "inspired" by Charlie Chaplin. English-Vinglish - I haven't seen many films of SriDevi but this has got to be one of her finest performances. Other than that it was a pretty ordinary movie.
kubrickian Posted October 11, 2012 Posted October 11, 2012 I recently saw Kahaani. Its a well made, intelligent and a sensible thriller. Good acting by Vidya Balan and stylish cinematography. Kudos to Sujoy Ghosh. I hope Bollywood makes more movies like this than crap like Rowdy Rathore, Dabangg etc. Tired of movies where heroes beat up 1000 thugs, stupid love stories, musicals etc.
