Some goofs of Kai Po Che :

During riots (in 2002), people are watching the news on Headline Today. That channel was launched in 2003. Most private vehicles in the movie are shown with white number plates with black alphabets and letters. This system didn't come in place in India till 2002, whereas the movie is set in the year 2000-2001. At that time, number plates used to be 'white on black'. 'Black on white' at that time was used for commercial vehicles. When Omi's parents are going to Ayodhya, train announcement is for train number 19165. In 2002, train numbers were 4-digit. Only in 2011 were 5-digit train numbers introduced by Indian Railways. The movie is set during the years 2001-2002. The cast uses cellphones like Nokia 1100 and Nokia 1110, which were released in 2003 and 2005 respectively.

Saw a film "manorama - Six feet under". Was searching for nice songs in 2007 and one of them was "Woh bheegey pal" from this movie. Just looked for the songs, by mistake opened an imdb link and saw the movie highly rated. Started reading the story and found it interesting, downloaded it and watched it. I have to say, the movie was great. Abhay Deol is such an underrated actor. The movie went smoothly all along, although the first half looked a bit stretched. Gul Panag played her part well as the frustrated yet supportive wife. Vinay Pathak was good with his high pitch "Rajasthani" accent, and his witty one liners. The second half was gripping, twists at crucial junctures made it even more enjoyable. All in all, a wonderful watch for suspense movie lovers. Such films are not made in Bollywwod frequently, do give it a watch :nice:

Lincoln - 8/10 Sir Daniel Day Lewis' acting in this movie should go down in the history of cinema as one of the best performances ever. I have only 1 small complaint - the movie was partially based on the book "Team of Rivals" and I've read that book (besides reading a biography of Abraham Lincoln by David Herbert Donald) and I seem to remember from these books that Lincoln wasn't a man who usually got angry but in the film he is shown to be angry on quite a few occasions.

Kai Po Che... over rated. Formulaic. Basically a wait for DVD/torrent film. Javed Akhtar is so right. Serious shortage of script writers in Bollywood. Tends to happen with cottage industries.
