NareshK Posted April 2, 2013 Posted April 2, 2013 Finished watching the possession. Keira sedwick .. seriously? she looks like a grandma to the kids in the movie. True story they say. Search for Dybbuk box on google lol. Over all the flow was good even though it is the kind of movie you have seen a lot. I watched Possession (1981) a year ago. It has to be one of the weirdest, craziest movies I've ever seen. Nothing really makes sense in the film but its still very interesting. Its like a relationship drama, B-horror and action movie all rolled into one. Watch it if you are in the mood for a really experimental, European art house flick.

Absense of Conclusive Evidence does not mean Guilty becomes Innocent.

One can only be relatively sure whether the accused committed the said crime. That is why the rule is that the jury has to be convinced that the charges have been proved beyond any reasonable doubt. In spite of that, many innocents have been convicted and many have been given the death penalty.

That is the basic premise. Without much evidence, how closely can one judge that the crime has taken place to give out a sentence. The movie shows how one's prejudices come into play when you want to judge another. How can you wonder if he committed the crime when the basic idea is that you don't know if he has committed.

So many nominations for this ...totally undeserving. The academy gets too patriotic. badly written character gets best actress nomination. She said to one of the seals .."you are gonna kill him for me". Atleast nobody acted cocky and overacted in that movie. Direction/editing was taut unlike this crap.
