Agreed. Dada is such a legend  Gangluddin = Dada + Azhar?
yeah DADA could have scored at 9 runs per over against Tait, Nannes, and Johnson:winky:

Rubbish. You underestimate the spamming paavaarz of CricketGirl, Gunner and Marilize. :D The sort of reactions we see these days when India fails without the old guard of Tendulkar, Dravid, Gangluddin, Laxman and Sehwag is a bad sign of what lies ahead when more of them retire. There is still nobody to replace Ganguly (and despite his much-talked up faults against the short ball, he could handle these sorts of barrages better than a lot of this current lineup), and nobody who seems like coming remotely close to filling the shoes of the others. (Anand, new sporting hero for the future?)
India win CB series without ganguly, dravid, laxman, sehwag...only SRT was there...can u count how many tournaments we had won in the captaincy of Ganguly....I think one was natwest trophy, one joint winner in ICC champions trophy with Pakistan, count more....Sehwag has not done anything yet in the T20I for Indian team, In one days too he has not been that good accept the last 1 year.....i think its just not wise to compare T20 performance to other formats of the game...

yeah one world cup and suddenly this halo around dad. He was the orginal bunny to the short ball and much has been talked of his "work ethic" specially in regards otcombat his major short coming not in the least his apalling fielding which he did not improve when wearing blue. Yes he was agressive and moulded the current team but he had far better crop of cricketers then what dhoni is dealing with right now. If ponting leads the bangla side starting today i don't think they will manage to win a test dad was as good a captain as his team and everyone knows it got to his head.

Former India players dish out harsh criticism "The IPL is a domestic tournament and the standard is much lower than a world event where you are up against quality batsmen and bowlers. You don't expect to go to World Cup semi-finals if you play the way the team has played in the Caribbean. Yuvraj has to look at his game. If he doesn't perform for long periods, the selectors will not play him just on the basis of his reputation. Some of the players have got a lot of opportunities, but have not delivered. They have been around for quite a while and the entire country wants performances from them." Sourav Ganguly believes the IPL may have lulled the Indian players into a false sense of security, and asks their seniors to pull up their socks. "India's lack of adaptability has been a disappointment. What is baffling is that even though most batsmen showed a distinct sense of discomfort against the short ball during the World Twenty20 in England last year, they were picked again for an event on even bouncier pitches in the Caribbean. All other teams remember what happened last year and the tactics employed by them against the Indians prove this." Sunil Gavaskar is baffled by the Indian batsmen's lack of preparation to counter the expected threat of short-pitched bowling. "It's hard to put a finger on the exact reason [for the defeat] but of all the tournaments MS Dhoni has led India in, this is the most disappointing. At times you can be stubborn and stick to your ideas but he might want to be a little more flexible in future. Only 73 runs were scored in the last 10 overs despite having nine wickets in hand. There is no explanation for that. Tactically Yusuf Pathan should have come up in the batting order. Selectors will have to look for Twenty20 players who can play in all kind of conditions." Ravi Shastri questions some of MS Dhoni's tactical calls. "Obviously if you stay up the whole night, it would affect you. Players should be responsible enough. The game is more important than the parties. Excuses like these cannot be given after you lose. For a player, cricket should come first and everything else is secondary." Mohammad Azharuddin is appalled by Dhoni citing the hectic IPL schedules, on and off the field, as an excuse for the side's performance. "I don't think that [attending IPL parties] is a reason. Who was forcing them to attend these parties? They could have said no. I don't think they should say all this. These are silly excuses. Fact is they had gone there to win the World Cup and they just weren't good enough." Madan Lal echoes Azhar's views and lampoons the Indian team for offering 'silly excuses'.

What is the reaction from Kirsten? Did he say anything?
He was too busy calling up all his friends about the prank he played on Dhoni to get Jaddu to play almost all of the games
