Can't blame the players. After seeing the reactions on this board it's not difficult to imagine what some so called 'fans' would have said to the players in the pub to instigate a reaction. Ideally, they should have walked away but tempers can rise when provoked. What these 'fans' forget is that despite them having done poorly in the tournament, they are still human beings and for them even though it might be a big loss, they have to move beyond it and get on with life. Yep, Also,this BCCI is the lucky and unharmed party. People talk about players getting tired, yet they still have more series for more money. They provide all these parties and then later punish players for being a party freak and overweight

Just when you think the team cannot sink any lower (where's the Facepalm icon when you need it?) There is a time and place to go out for a drink but this was certainly not it, especially in a public place. Seriously what were they thinking? It's like a major team at the football WC going out at the first knock-out stage and its players trying to get it on the dance floor ON THE SAME NIGHT as getting dumped out. Can you imagine what Brazilians, Argentinians, Italians etc would make of that? FFS have some shame. If you need alcohol that badly there is room service, you don't need to go out. What this proves beyond doubt is that Yuseless Singh is a cancer in the team. He is finished as a sportsman and as an athlete. Absolutely, nobody is saying they should not have a drink and enjoy themselves, but they must realise the appropriate time and place to do so. Drinking and dancing around after being dumped out of a major tourny is just unacceptable.

They should not venture out. A columbian goal keeper who made a self-goal in a WC match (in 1994) was killed the same day. These players have come out alive. Any other place, a disgruntled fan who has lost money on the team can take it personally. It's not a gentleman's game anymore. I think they shd schedule IPL every other year and have the ICC T20 WC also every other year. Cricket overdose will lose market value.

++ If that is how they deal with their loss so be it we can't always expect them shut themselves in room and brood over losses however players also should have a sense of propriety and will probably have to make the adjustment for the lack of equanimity among the fans, this may be an easier solution but probably not the desirable one. As far as sacking Cheeka is concerned, it will probably like prem panicker has expressed so well in his blog give a nice scape goat and let us get an immediate sense of closure i am sure as far as the team is concerned we will see no dramatic improvements just like sacking robin and prasad has done. Selections are always fraught with hindsight bias and immediately give a halo to those who weren't selected barring one two 50/50 calls the selection has been ok. 1. pace bowlers ( our reserves are terrible) 2. Spin bowling ( here is a major contention but as we saw there is no guaratee bhajji who was aso good in the ipl ended wicketless thats inexcusable given that he was our strike bowler) 3. as far as dropping unfit seniors we all can imagine what the reaction would have been if noobs had lost out. 4. batting well yes the short ball is a problem but instead of blaming selction one should blame not doing enough to root out this error with current crop of batsman. As well as Robin, Pandey and the likes have done in the IPL/ Domestic i don't think there is over whelming evidence to point that they could rip open pace attacks with their hooks and pulls
