well ... this movie raised the bar godfather had set 3-4 notches and well its safe to say its the don bradman of hindi movies.

Load of bull crap.[/quote'] its not his fault that others made cheap imitations to his movie. amongst bollywood romantic movies, i think bobby is good fun. btw... the list is about top10 bollywood movies... its not about what are the movies you feel proud about or your kind of movies... so automatically u need to give a lot of credit to bobby becoz it inspired about a few thousand indian films. bobby wouldnt be in my dvd collection... iam just giving credit where its due thatsall.

Gunda is classic among all B/C/D- grade movies. The dialogs are amazing, the performances are unbelievable. It's a must watch for everyone.

Load of bull crap.[/quote'] IMO RK's best was Mera Naam Joker. Great movie. Apart from that Awara was a great movie. It was after Mera Naam Joker bombed big time at the box office that RK decided to go outright commercial. Thats when he conceived Bobby. Bobby may not look like great after all these years, but it was landmark movie in setting the tone for Bollywood's teenage romance stories. It was the first one of it's kind and and appealed to the teenagers and adults alike. RK was quite a visionary as a director. Mera Naam Joker was clearly ahead of it's time. I consider it as one of the best from Bollywood.
