No sh!t anyone would prefer 60/2 then 55/0, sherlock. But first look at Sreesanth's ODI and T20I averages and economy rates compared to Zak, Nehra and Praveen. You are delusional if you think Sreesanth is the answer to our limited overs problems. Just because the main attack is poor it doesn't mean the others are not even worse.

That's not a fair call. I am no pace fanatic and some of my favorite bowlers have been the likes of Kapil, McGrath, and Pollock. None of whom, were express pace for any significant periods of their career. However, Vinay Kumar is just utter garbage. He has nothing to offer as a bowler, plain and simple. I have more faith in Irfan Pathan than Vinay. He lacks pace, swing, any appreciable seam movement, bounce. What does he offer as a bowler?

As such, a lack of pace alone is not a detriment in LOIs. But the boy serves up a loose ball or two each over. In contrast, I am watching Kulasekara trundling in the 120s, and can't help but be impressed by the lack of loose ones. I looked him up, and he is averaging 27 with an ER of 4.6 - better numbers, if only slightly so, than his pacier teammate Malinga (29 and 5).

Our trundlers have none.

I was impressed by Yadav. Yeah figures may not not be amazing but guy has pace and decent control. Its also pace formed through power in upper body, basically brute power. Not dependant on good run up and rhythmn. Basically just jogs up and hurls it fast. I like it. He has serious potential. Keep him in the team. I reckon he can bowl nicley at 86 to 90 mph consistently, just what we need

He went for a few towards the end because he was bowling the wrong length, but this can be corrected with coaching. Dinda and Umesh look decent. Vinay on the other hand, has no future in intrnational cricket.

So Dinda and Umesh failed yet again to take a wicket. Their record of giving breakthrough with the new ball is 100%, ie not a single wicket with the new ball as yet and haven't dismissed a top order batsman from either Zim or SL in three outings so far! When are we going to understand that IPL is not the parameter for selection?!

Dinda and Yadav have to kept in the fray in the future too because otherwise we wont have bowlers in the future .. remember that the batting was not upto the mark or we would have made 300+ easily with our normal team and then it would have been a lot easier to bowl and defend ... but to be quite frank Zak and Nehra are still better than this lot but these guys will improve or at least we can hope will improve .. these are the future of Indian cricket and if we ignore then we will have no fast bowlers left in the future .. remember we cannot choose much when our whole domestic bowling talent are ordinary

Yadav is one of the more exciting talents to emerge. Its too early to dismiss his talent and blame him for a 4-over spell. And what does IPL have to do with him not getting wickets here Chandan? Did he sign a contract with them for not taking any wickets in this series?

What's with dinda and his obsession with slower balls ? CI has been poking fun about his slower balls which are not deceptive and very easily picked by the batsmen. I've said it before Dinda is no good and is just there to clock at 140s but as ineffective as any other Indian bowler. Speed does jack **** if you're gonna keep bowling it straight.
