Has anyone actually watched him bowl this season? Has he been good? Just took 8 wickets in an innings in a Duleep Trophy semi-final to bowl NZ out before they reach 300 thereby giving EZ the lead. Must be somewhat good. :dontknow:

Aaron has not been earth-shattering in the limited opportunities he has got for India. Neither has Ishant been earth-shattering in the unlimited opportunities he has got for India. We should give Dinda a run in conducive wickets and then see.

He has generally looked good in 1 dayers and bowled decently on a flat Wankhede track in his only test.

Mind you, we are talking of a spot in the t20 squad and no other format. Not that other pacers whom we have tried in t20s have had earth shattering performances. So why not pick a guy who can hit mid 140s, has got a good bouncer, a good yorker, can move the ball at pace and did perform in a t20 tournament?

Also i dont think Arvind selected because of IPL...its as you people write everyday because of Tenvic :winky: (His Ranji performance in 2009 is Ok while 2010 is good)

MCcricket Posted February 7, 2012 Posted February 7, 2012 From the last 2 seasons I cannot understand why Dinda, Gony, Tyagi are not in our test team, we tried rubbish bowlers Unadkat, VK, and mediocre PK.All of them bowl between 136 to 146 k's, can seam the ball, triers on the field, excellent in last 3 years, have experience and class.

Ishant is pacy but is considered so called UNLUCKY bowler......he has no idea after how many overs will he get his next Wicket.... VK and PK require Supportive conditions and Wickets to perform ....pk is restrictive and I feel he throws a bit too sometimes ....as a batsman I wud prefer to face PK rather than Dinda....I feel Dinda has good variations too..... Irfan is a wild card if he is improving like VK he shud also be considered as he has some dangerous swing......but who is the most successfull pacer in domestic cricket today- its Dinda and way ahead of all others by a Mile....... I feel he has already broken the selection doors and selectors cannot afford to keep him OUT. Ganguly has OPENLy said he is one of India"s best bowler.....I suppose he is ahead of Varun aroon as well as Nachim as on today"s form.

Should not be drafted in the team unless his action is sorted out and he delivers some good performances in the Kanga League as a 'bowler'.

Sorry i don't live in India so do not know a great deal about the domestic set-up.
