One of the most important local club tournaments. The other one is the Times Shield. People get their first-class breaks after excelling in these tournaments.

Dinda and Mohd sammi got 4 wicekts each again- Dinda is becoming a dreaded bowler in domestic cricekt now and batters kinda fear him now- for me he has done everything he needs to do to be in the best 4 pacers or at least 5 for INDIA.

vishalvirsingh Posted February 13, 2012 Posted February 13, 2012 dinda must be given opportunity..he is like peter siddle..giving it 100%..captain's delight..plus can hit the deck hard kind of bowler..these bowlers always put teams in game as they tend to pick wickets dinda is way ahead of VK and PK even as of today's VK form- albeit VK is in good form but i still feel he is not as good as DINDA even today - Dinda shud play ahead of both and even ishant and shud play with zak and umesh..........he is in great form now- if he doesnt play now when will he play??? fast bowlers have a very short career- may be even of 5 years and i feel Umesh and DINDA have started their 5 years now and Varun is about to start- though i am not sure whether he will even get 5 years to play at international level as he has a back issue always. ZAk is about to end his fast bowling run(career) anytime- he is even today just playing becos of his enermous experience. irfan had abruptly ended his career and is trying to start. Vk has a shortened 4 year span left as he is slightly older.
peterparker Posted February 13, 2012 Posted February 13, 2012 irfan is crap..why was he selected only selectors know..may be past reputation..on vinay kumar, i would say he is ok..atleast not a full trundler though his speed of 139 would only cause trouble if there is swing available..he is not tall also..so will not be able to extract bounce also..hence, he has to only rely on the surface to pick wickets

I mean almost 60 wkts on the dead roads of domestic cricket ought to mean somewhat of a form and skill for the bowler Unfortunately, he looked worst than V Ko-maar today against bengalis..... I'm still willing to give him at least 2-3 more games to see if he has gotten better as he might hv been nervous coming back to the team after a long time. But the first impression was very very ordinary; no swing, no bounce, no seam, inconsistent lengths, and mediocre pace.

But yet the entire match barely touched 135km/hr. Seriously I doubted him from before seeing this pint size rocket in the IPL unable deliver and being hammered.

Just go all out coz you don't get opportunities like this to play in Indian team. We all know he can bowl fast. but, the thing that disappoints me a lot about Indian pacers is when they r given opportunity in Indian team, they don't give their 100%. Rather they go out there bowling very carefully within the limits. This should not be the attitude, You should go all out, show you can bowl fast, you r ready to fight, show some attitude. But, they do exactly opposite, bowling within the limits. Yet, I hope Dhoni don't drop him from next game and continue with him for atleast this series. It won't make much of a diff coz we have already bear the insult by losing to bangladesh, but giving him opportunity can definitely boost his confidence and inspire him to give his 200%
