nballa Posted June 24, 2010 Posted June 24, 2010 Firstly we have two no show teams in bang and pak. we might as well had a tri series with SL and called it the asia cup. secondly its SL. we've played them so much i am numb to losses to them and not so excited with victories. thirdly its not that big of a championship. it rates pretty low. fourthly.... well what do you guys think. I mean even on these forums i don't see much excitement over the win other than the padosi bashing for some strange reason.

Manny_Pacquiao Posted June 24, 2010 Posted June 24, 2010 yeah, the other subcontinent teams are FAR behind india, so not much excitement to be had. sri lanka are decent opposition though, but pakistan and bangladesh are trash. i don't think india even played that well throughout the tournament to be honest. the only highlight was the bowling in the final, but other than that, nothing special. the batting was average for the most part, gambhir and dhoni were our two top bats and they both scratched around for runs and never looked in form. bowling was ok, fielding not too shabby. india are far off their peak, that much is clear. but they still won the tournament, so thats impressive

Tri-series with just one more team?!!! :omg: Bout the point, I think ppl in Asia (4 cricket playing countries) think its a big deal, its been held for 15 times now i think. so yes, in a way it is a big deal!!!

Which is why I go back the Paki game. Chasing 268 is not easy on this track and kudos to the Indian Team which did it. Even SL did in the Finals Preview -- but that was more because of Maharoof Magic
