The final is on today.......but its been raining all day and night. :aha: Maybe I can go to the final is the match is re scheduled

But is the match rescheduled? They just can't let the final match go like that where the position of the teams in the tournament is going to be decided. That would be ridiculous!! But CA's site has no information about it. Where can one get this information? Ummmm No. After a little more searching, it has emerged that the tournament has ended according to what the table positions show, as both the matches have been abandoned without a ball being bowled. This means that SA HAS WON THE ONE DAY EMERGING PLAYERS' TOURNAMENT 2010 Just take a look at the commentary here:

Wow!! This is the first time I have heard of a a team winning a final without facing a ball. Did they award it on the basis of the NRR? If they did, it's silly. Should have played the final tomorrow.

They were unbeaten in the group matches and they beat us fairly comfortably. Fair enough really if there is no way they can play a final.

What an anti-climax Anyways so what are the positives and negatives of this tour? has anyone apart from Pujara and Unadkat made a claim for selection?

Pujara did not have a great Tourno, did not do much after the 30-odd in the opening match. Mukund and Rahane scored good knocks vs NZ, that aside that wasnt too much joy for the batsmen

SHouldn't we be playing at least 2 4-day matches on the tour as well? That will help these players much more than the shorter format games. But perhaps the BCCI thinks its more important for the players to play in the Corporate cup :((

As we can see, none of the Indians were standouts either in bowling or batting depatments, many were ahead of them, unlike last year. So it is safe to say that we didn't have too many positives in terms of individual players but we played well as a team to make the final of both T20 and OD legs of the tournaments. How will it help in future? Can't think of it, at the moment.
