Firs and foremost all of us (most of us) will be relieved that the real cricket is starting again. We are finally going to watch INDIA play test matches Ishant Sharma and Sreeshant will be seen once again after a break. I really do hope thiese two have regained their confidence and bowl with venom. Of the batsmen, we are finally going to watch the BIG 3 :woot: Other than these 3, DHoni, Gambhir and Sehwag are certain to play... WHo would be the 6th man in the team? :hmmm: Raina, Yuvi, Murali.... really interesting as to who would be picked... what are your choices people? And what would you like our bowling attack to be? ************************************

Last time we toured we had beter batting and bowling line up. Still we lost 2-1.

With UDRS in place, Murali and Mendis will still cause a few problems for us especially with the LBWs. Need to be prepared for that. And hopefully Viru is pumped up to pile on the big scores after a long break from international cricket. Will be a hard fought series, but we will win this one.

Probbaly on the last lankan tour. We didn't play any tour games when we toured NZ in 2009 or BD in 2010.

I still get shudders thinking about that first Test in 2008. :(( Our most humiliating Test defeat in many a year. You make some fair points about the batsmen, the hope will be that they can eke out a draw in the first Test despite their rustiness, otherwise I think we will lose the series. As for the bowling options to partner Zaheer and Bhajji, it will be decided by the tour match I guess.

Even before the series has started thewe have heard announcements about 2 important players from either side. The Sri Lankan stalwart... arguably/inarguably the greatest offspinner in cricketing history Muralitharan has announced retirement after the first test. I am sure he will get a rousing farewell from his team, board and supporters... WHAT A PLAYA and second one announcement is about Zaheer... He is injured again... and will be replaced by Abhimanyu Mithun.. Now this is interesting...Ishant and Sreeshant will be expected to spearhead our "pcae attack" now.. With two of the better bowlers out of the side...i hope this series doesnt turn into a batting feast!!!
