Ranjha Posted July 28, 2010 Posted July 28, 2010 Wasnt the cricketing law modified to accomodatr Murli?
Lord Posted July 28, 2010 Posted July 28, 2010 ^ no it was modified to accomodate almost ALL bowlers, who were found to have bend greeater than earlier limit
coffee_rules Posted July 28, 2010 Posted July 28, 2010 He is ordinary compared to Murali. Not in Australia where Murali is pedestrian even with his ICC licensed chucking. If he was not allowed to chuck, even Murali would have been ordinary.
Serani Posted July 28, 2010 Posted July 28, 2010 Not in Australia where Murali is pedestrian even with his ICC licensed chucking. If he was not allowed to chuck, even Murali would have been ordinary. Bedi was poor in the West Indies, England and Pakistan. so?
coffee_rules Posted July 28, 2010 Posted July 28, 2010 ^ no it was modified to accomodate almost ALL bowlers' date='who were found to have bend greeater than earlier limit[/quote'] But the campaign for it was started by SLC to accommodate Murali.
Serani Posted July 28, 2010 Posted July 28, 2010 But the campaign for it was started by SLC to accommodate Murali. I really doubt SLC has that much power. You Harbhajan has took advantage of this too, shame he still sucks.
coffee_rules Posted July 28, 2010 Posted July 28, 2010 Bedi was poor in the West Indies, England and Pakistan. so? So, Murali was wrong to call Bedi Ordinary who has better record than him in certain countries.
coffee_rules Posted July 28, 2010 Posted July 28, 2010 I really doubt SLC has that much power. You Harbhajan has took advantage of this too, shame he still sucks. But along with BCCI, the asian bloc is very powerful now. Look how Howard was defeated. BCCI (Dalmiya) also fought for Chuktar's case and got him to be legal.
asterix Posted July 28, 2010 Posted July 28, 2010 In which countries Murali has got his maximum wickets? That would be interesting to know..
Tapioca Posted July 28, 2010 Posted July 28, 2010 ^ no it was modified to accomodate almost ALL bowlers' date='who were found to have bend greeater than earlier limit[/quote'] Murali was never measured under match conditions. All we know is that under "lab" conditions he chucks at about 15.
jhakati Posted July 28, 2010 Posted July 28, 2010 lol sardar bedi is a jealous ass, old hag has been moaning about everyone from murali to ganguly, he can't digest the fact that he was just an overrated bowler of his times :haha:
Serani Posted July 28, 2010 Posted July 28, 2010 Murali was never measured under match conditions. All we know is that under "lab" conditions he chucks at about 15. How on earth do you propse testing him under match conditions?
King Tendulkar Posted July 28, 2010 Posted July 28, 2010 lol sardar bedi is a jealous ass' date=' old hag has been moaning about everyone from murali to ganguly, he can't digest the fact that he was just an overrated bowler of his times :haha:[/size'] Disagree with him being over rated. He was a fantastic bowler. Not as good as murali though:--D
achilles Posted July 28, 2010 Posted July 28, 2010 I do agree with C_R that Murali is a chucker. And also dont think that Bedi was ordinary. Am not defending Bedi here. I know you are not defending him. Not even the man himself can defend him. By keeping quiet for a long time, Murali was FTT. Now that Murali is talking, Bedi saab has some tough times ahead.
asterix Posted July 28, 2010 Posted July 28, 2010 In which countries Murali has got his maximum wickets? That would be interesting to know.. Hi Guys.. I need to know the break up stats of his wickets in each country. I tried to find in Statsguru but not getting the desired stat. This stat will give me fair idea of which country was his favorite hunding ground. I've inkling that he has amassed his most wickets in Srilanka..
Clarke Posted July 28, 2010 Posted July 28, 2010 This is going nuts now .. Prasanna & Maninder Singh are now siding with BS Bedi. Cant these guys just calm down already .. if they wanna criticize someone it should have been the ICC which eased the rule on bending the arm years back. Whats the point on targeting a champion now that he's retired with a world record ? Makes them sound like sore losers which they certainly are not ..
achilles Posted July 28, 2010 Posted July 28, 2010 ^ Its turning into a joke. Manni Sir was saying that Bedi saab is doing the right thing by not responding to this coz he said Bedi saab told him that "if I respond and then he does, it will never end". Bedi saab and his friends have NO standing to take a moral high ground on this issue. Murali's criticism is justified.
doubt Posted July 28, 2010 Posted July 28, 2010 with murali this time, had enuf of this ranting all through the career
Tapioca Posted July 28, 2010 Posted July 28, 2010 How on earth do you propse testing him under match conditions? The 15 degrees that is being claimed for everyone else was measured during a certain tournament (2004 ICC Champions trophy in England, iirc) with the help of several cameras. This figure was often quoted to defend Murali and to adjust the rules. Murali did not play in this competition, so we don't know his figures alone. If it possible to make the measurement under match conditions, it would seem a very obvious thing to do it for Murali too some other time. But for some reason - monetary, pressure on ICC or whatever - this was never done. If it was done and Murali came no worse than the rest, it would have shut up several people like me.
