Manny_Pacquiao Posted August 7, 2010 Posted August 7, 2010 sangakrya....can you hear that violin playing a song for you. india with a DEPLETED SIDE and more specifically, a SECOND STRING BOWLING ATTACK, losing ALL THREE TOSSES, STILL held you to a 1-1 series draw in your own backyard. sangakrya should thank his lucky stars that india werent at full strength because we all remember what happened the last time
Manny_Pacquiao Posted August 7, 2010 Posted August 7, 2010 oh, and not that it matters now, but the main reason why SL lost it in the chase was because of captain fake accent's crappy defensive field settings which allowed the indian batsmen to TAKE SINGLES AT WILL, making it impossible to create pressure. had dhoni done the same, he would have been slaughtered by the media and fans.
achilles Posted August 7, 2010 Posted August 7, 2010 Expect him to whine about 2 test matches not being enough for them. Expect him to ask for a fair FTP to SL. Their board wants to play us all the time, so this is something he might have to skip.
Bumper Posted August 7, 2010 Posted August 7, 2010 This series reminded me off the Ind-Pak test series in 2005. India had its nose ahead more no. of times than Pakistan, but Pakistan played well when it mattered, esp, in the last test at Bangalore. In this series, India won the sessions that mattered most. Overall, what India has accomplished with the bowling attack they've left with was incredible & worthy of the no. 1 tag. Laxman was fantastic in the 2nd (he's made a living out of such bail out masterpieces), but lets not forget Sehwag's rapid first innings ton - without it, we'd have lost the game in the first innings itself.
sudheer kumar Posted August 7, 2010 Posted August 7, 2010 If Srilanka was better side in series... then why they did not declared their first innings at 550 runs in second test? Why they played 134 overs to score 425 runs in third test? It means they scared so much. they don't have confidence on their score. It results Srilanka played better than India only in first test. In second and third tests...India played much more better than srilanka. Sangakkara should remember...India don't have Zaheer khan in whole series. If he is in team...India may won the series with lead of 2-1. SL played the series very defensive....after winning first test.
nitinbwj Posted August 7, 2010 Posted August 7, 2010 hahahaha.. and i hate his fake accent.damn sanga u are a joker and to atul wasan ..STFU..we are no 1 and we deserve it..:yay:
thevortex Posted August 7, 2010 Posted August 7, 2010 I am not sure why there is so much disagreement here. Sangakkara is right. India came back late in the last Test. Till then, Sri Lanka were the better side.
Jersey #10 Posted August 7, 2010 Posted August 7, 2010 I don't know if I could hate this nicca more. I hate his guts so much

THX_1138 Posted August 8, 2010 Posted August 8, 2010 I hope we are not playing Lanka for the next 500 years, I swear I'll give up on the cricket if I see another list of wanga, kara, ghera phera with a freaking SINGER T-Shirt Lets Tour SAF, ENG have a few ODIs to wrap up our affairs here first. i say, the indian players might as well buy second homes in sri lanka... its like the home away from home. i dont mind it though... Sri Lanka is a good side, they bowl better than us, and field just as well, and on occassion bat better. While they dont inspire the team as much as the aussies do, we only improve our game by playing them. till recently they were the best spin attack and we only better ourselves with the practice. i am however rather perturbed about the placid pitches they prepare.
yoda Posted August 8, 2010 Posted August 8, 2010 What a whiner! They needed a Mendis miracle to even give them a respectable total to defend.
Shane Posted August 8, 2010 Posted August 8, 2010 Did he really say that, or is it the reporter's interpretation, Not a big fan of Sanga myself, But I can't see a quote, correct me I may be wrong.
Chalks Posted August 8, 2010 Posted August 8, 2010 Sangacrya: "We were the better side." (after India had the better of the last half of the series) Poyzzzz skipper Salmonella Butt: "Aussies are still #1 side." (after poyzzzz beat a very average Aussie side @ Leeds) :cantstop: @ our neigh-bores.
