As I mentioned earlier I know' date=' you know whole world know it was worst thing in cricket Pak players committed and also PCB is still not doing well to handle the situation and yes all of you can point the finger and can criticize but don't you feel it should have some limit? You guys have rather started to insult the people of Pakistan, all cricket followers of Pakistan who loves the cricket exactly like you if not more and humiliating 24*7 the whole nation and county just because of this one **** reason, so far I took everything lightly and positively but with due respect, I think NOW all of you (or most of you) are crossing the limit, unfortunately...[/quote'] the thing is Asim, everything that's coming out of Pakistan nowadays is not very positive. On top of that the general reaction you see amongst Pakistani public is just plain appalling and then add the history between India and Pak as recent as 2008 and you will find strong reactions from Indian quarter. We are just sick of how Pakistan handle things...be it stand against terrorism or cricket issues. if you check pp you will find out why we are so angry....just look at the no. of threads that have already popped up blaming India directly or indirectly and not to mention calling Indians all sorts of names like "short, skinny dark kind" "inferior male specimen from across the border" and if you think this is bad....please kindly check the youtube videos of bollywood songs -- more than 60% of the comments are made by pakistanis showcasing their inferiority complex by claming how urdu songs are much preferred...Pakistani movies are far superior and how India should be grateful of Pakistani artists choosing to sing in bollywood movies........

Asim why is Imran Khan not taking over Pakistani cricket? right now' date=' I believe he's probably the best possible candidate[/quote'] Yes you are right and in fact since his retirement he always have this option to become chairman PCB anytime and definitely he could be the best but he absolutely don't have time as he always remains busy in 10s of more important issues being leader of his political party, chairman board of governors of his cancer hospital, doing work in education field as well. He has devoted his whole life to serve the nation in one way or other. I wish he could become PM of Pakistan though he still have to go a long long way to get there but what I love and I believe in him, he never accepts and will never ever accept the defeat while achieving any of his target.

Asif's ex hands over 'proof' to ICC Pakistani cricketer Mohammad Asif's ex-girlfriend, Veena Malik, has handed over "proof" of his alleged links with Indian bookies to the ICC's Anti-Corruption Unit. Hasan Raza, who is a top official of the ICC's Anti-Corruption Unit for South Asia, met Malik at her residence in Lahore on Wednesday evening after she alleged that Asif was involved in match-fixing and she had "ample" proof of this. "I handed over Asif's voice recordings with the bookie and some other related information to the ICC official," Malik told a TV news channel. "From head to toe, Pakistani players and officials are involved in match-fixing. I had gone with Asif to Bangkok before Pakistan's tour of Australia. Asif told me he was offered USD 40,000 by an Indian bookie to under-perform in Australia but he demanded USD 200,000. "The Pakistan Cricket Board had evidence of this but no action was taken against him," she said. Asif, his fellow pacer Mohammad Aamir and Test captain Salman Butt are at the center of an alleged 'spot-fixing' scandal exposed by British tabloid 'News of the World'. The tabloid reported it had paid 150,000 pounds to a fixer for three no-balls bowled by Asif and Aamir during a Test match against England. http://www.dailymirror.lk/index.php/sports/cricket/6288-asifs-ex-hands-over-proof-to-icc.html :giggle:

I do not disagree entirely with what you say but unfortunately that is how the inter net forums are particularly when it comes to discussing lingering emotive issues between peoples/nations. I am not saying thats how it should be but sadly it is so. In this people young people from both sides are to be blamed. It is not one sided. Both sides need to show some maturity and stop being so childish in their reactions. One has been trying to moderate in these matters for years but its a small effort amongst a large number of highly agitated young people in a very charged environment. The thing to do for everyone when they realise how much it hurts as you are doing right now, is to tell yourself, "I am never going to do such a thing myself" Its not possible for us to mend the rest of the world. Lets at least take responsibility for ourselves and maybe for the few who may we may be in a position to influence. Thats all I can say to you.

I think the biggest issue is the internet is available to just about anyone. You end up getting 12-13 year olds (any some adults too) who have no control over their emotions, start mud-slinging which then just escalates as the other party is going to respond...and thus the cycle starts

Mumbai hawlaldars better than scotland yard!! The players have accepted that they received money from Mazhar Majeed. The players also stated that Mazhar Majeed was working as their agent to secure sponsorship deals and they did not know that he was a book-maker. and scotland yard belived it:hysterical:

And there's no paperwork related to this cash money..Usually large sums should be dealt using bank transactions and not by cash transactions. If they've recieved money in UK and if it's Non-Taxable (which I doubt) then they should've proper paperwork and pay applicable taxes which they can get refunded at the UK Border Posts/Immigration when they go out of the country or if they are keeping or investing the money in UK then proper bank/investment details required. There's no scope of back hand dealing in UK unless SY has been instructed by the UK govt. to go easy on these Pakis because It's affecting their flood relief donation appeal and image..

That’s what I deeply wish for the people of both sides, please grow up, be mature in posting and sharing the feelings and actually on both sides people should rather try to take lead in posting the sensible stuff, purposeful content with logical and meaningful arguments instead of mud-slinging, abusing and trying to grow up the hate on purpose. Yes we all know we are opponents of each other, we naturally enjoy the failure of others and feel the jealousy on success of others but still we can and actually we should show big heart too and I believe there is no topic even between most rival countries like us for which abusing is so essential and which can't be discussed in respectful manners. At least I am never able to understand when one person either from here or there writes a post with entirely hateful contents full of abuses why he (and also the one who replies in same way) fails to understand that his words are actually first representing his own personality then his country too, so he should just think at least once before posting that how we would like to represent himself and his country.

The unnamed diplomat said Hasan's claims have not just caused embarrassment; they have created a sense of anger against Pakistan. "We had a great chance here to show that we were taking this matter extremely seriously and would root out any corruption. Instead we took a position we couldn't sustain, ended giving contradictory statements, lost out anyway and made a lot of our friends in the cricketing world angry." "We are trying to get him off the TV screens, but there's no stopping him." Officials close to Hasan said the criticism has come from "his detractors connected to the Pakistani secret service, the ISI, and the military." But a diplomat rejected this saying, "What on earth has all this to do with cricket? The only military thing here is that we have a loose cannon in our hands." Asim, you are right. It is not fair to paint everybody with the same brush. Let me try to explain the Indian point of view on this. As I see it. For Indians at the moment the biggest frustration is that this looks like an open-and-shut case. Whether it is Pakistan involved or not, it would not matter that much. It could just as well have been Australia or England. Or even India itself. The video evidence is there for the world to see. I believe it has been confirmed that it has not been doctored. Now, if these players had admitted guilt, I can guarantee you there would have been far less venom spewed at them than at the moment. There may even have been a bit of sympathy for Aamer. But the more they act righteous and "victims", the more people are getting pissed off with them. On top of that, this Pakistan High Commissioner! He has taken it to a different level altogether by straightaway saying that it is a set-up. As a result of all this, even Pakistanis who initially accepted that their players had done wrong are now defending these guys. Everybody seems to be in denial and making it look like there is a conspiracy against them. THIS is the most unacceptable thing about this. What happened, happened. Ok, it was not good for the game, it should not have happened, but it did. It would have been limited to a player-issue and not a country-issue if the players had owned up. Now with the representative of the country in the UK, the High Commissioner, behaving the way he has behaved, it has gone to a different level. Personally when the news first came out, I was not very surprised. Saddened, yes. But not very angry actually. I started getting angry when Salman Butt gave that interview. Arrogant like hell, he was. Talking about the fact that he had just won a Test against Australia, one against England... Who cares????? Is cricket more important or winning one Test more important? It is from that time onwards, and continuous attempts to defend what to me is entirely indefensible, that is making many of us get so pissed off. I am a newcomer here so I cannot comment about general trend or behaviour here. I have only been here a few days but what I see is that the anger is directed at these players, the board, the High Commissioner and the entire system that seems to allow such jokers to operate in this manner. It is not against the people of Pakistan. We know that they are just like any of us, passionate cricket fans, very disappointed about the state of affairs. We also know that they are going through great hardship at the moment and they have our full sympathies. But it is this maddening attitude of those in power - and the fact that the masses have not done anything about this yet - that is extremely provocative. So it is certainly not an attack on the common man. Just to be clear! Thanks for posting that Imran interview. The guy seems to be much more balanced in his views than most of the guys you hear.
